The lower cavity is between the first flexible diaphragm and a bottom surface of the protector member. The upper cavity is between the second flexible diaphragm and an upper surface of the protector member.

A diaphragm seal for transmitting the pressure of a process medium includes a main body having a surface and a separating membrane secured to the surface, thereby forming between the separating membrane and the surface a pressure chamber which communicates, via an opening in the surface, with a hydraulic path. The separating membrane can be exposed to the process medium on a first side, and the separating membrane has a central middle region. The diaphragm seal further includes a temperature transducer for determining a temperature measurement variable of the process medium, which is secured in the middle region on a second side of the separating membrane, and the main body is joined to the separating membrane such that a transmitting fluid, which fills the pressure chamber and the hydraulic path, does not come into contact with the temperature transducer.

The housing includes a fluid path that extends through the housing and allows a fluid to pass through the housing. The apparatus also includes a first volume chamber that is in fluid communication with the fluid path and has a first volume chamber opening, and a second volume chamber with a second volume chamber opening that is less than the first volume chamber opening. A diaphragm separates the first volume chamber from the second volume chamber and fluidly disconnects the second volume chamber from the fluid path. The diaphragm deforms based upon the pressure within the fluid path. The apparatus also includes an interface that is connectable to a pressure sensor, and the second volume chamber is in fluid communication with the interface.

Vacuum-resistant pressure sensing device

A pressure sensing device includes a support structure, an isolated diaphragm, a working oil, and a MEMS die sensing element. The support structure defines a portion of a sealed cavity. The isolated diaphragm is mounted to the support structure. The isolated diaphragm has in inner side that defines an end of the sealed cavity and an outer side opposite the inner side. The working oil is contained within the sealed cavity. The MEMS die sensing element is enclosed within the support structure. The MEMS die sensing element is exposed to the working oil within the sealed cavity. A pressure exerted on the outer side of the isolated diaphragm by a fluid medium is transferred via the working oil to the MEMS die sensing element to measure the pressure of the fluid medium. The working oil has a low vapor pressure and a low volatility content.

The separating membrane is: supplied with the process medium from a first membrane side; the pressure chamber and the hydraulic path are filled with a transmission fluid; the separating membrane is connected to the main part; and the separating membrane has a central region. The device additionally comprises a temperature sensor and a mount, wherein the temperature sensor introduced into the mount. The mount is arranged in a central cavity in such a way that a surface of the mount facing the separating membrane lies on a plane relative to the central region such that the surface of the mount acts as an abutment for the separating membrane when pressure is applied.

Such a pressure sensor arrangement should be able to protect the measuring membrane from high frequency pressure pulsations with low costs. To this end the pressure attenuation means (10) are arranged in the fluid chamber (4) in direct contact with the membrane (9) separating the membrane (9) from the fluid in the fluid chamber and comprise a homogenous incompressible material having a mechanical loss factor of 0.1 or higher at frequencies of 200 Hz or higher.

A sealing pin includes a body part and an end part connected to the body part. The body part is insertable into a liquid filling path of a pressure sensor. The body part has a groove on an outer surface. The end part seals a liquid filling port of the liquid filling path. When the sealing pin is inserted into the liquid filling path, an external media pressure applied to a diaphragm of the pressure sensor is transmitted to a pressure detection chip of the pressure sensor through a liquid in the groove.
