A DuraLock scrubber and scraper attachments with replaceable surface scrubbing and scraping capability, that includes providing a removable/replaceable surface scrubbing and scraping attachments, and attaching the elements to the mop head holder for scrubbing and scraping the floor surface. This provides a mop handle with surface scrubbing and scraping capability and includes an attachment for rigid connection to a mop handle, which is adapted to carry replaceable surface cleaning element(s). The replaceable elements can be a scraper, scrubbing pad or bristles or other abrasive materials that can be interchanged or replaced depending upon the job or as the components wear without requiring removal of the mop head and further allows the replacement of the mop head without requiring removal and reinstallation of the elements.

A mop (100) includes a mop head (101) having a housing (302) defining a major surface to couple to a cleaning pad (204). One or more flappers (201,202) are disposed along the major surface. The flappers, in response to actuation of an actuator (104), selectively pivot from a closed position disposed within the housing and substantially parallel with the major surface to an angularly displaced open position extending distally outward from the major surface. A user actuates the actuator (104) to detach the cleaning pad from the major surface without having to handle the cleaning pad.

The mop tool includes: an elongated stick; a cleaning head which includes a head body that has a coupling portion rotatably coupled to one end of the stick, and a gap portion that extends from the coupling portion of the head body toward at least one side of the head body; and a rotation control element which is installed on the stick so as to be movable along the stick. The rotation control element includes a locking member which is releasably coupled to at least a part of the head body which adjoins the gap portion, and restricts a relative rotation between the cleaning head and the stick.

A cleaning device is removably attachable to a replacement head. An absorbent pad for attachment to a handle assembly of a floor brush, broom or mop comprises a floor-engaging surface of an absorbent material, there being provided channels extending from the leading edge of the pad toward the rear edge but terminating in the bulk of the absorbent pad. The implement is useful for collecting liquid spills while avoiding a snowplow effect on the liquid.

A multi-purpose cleaning tool includes a frame having a first plate pivotally attached to a second plate. A biasing member is mounted between the first and second plates and urges the first plate and the second plate into a first position wherein the first plate and the second plate are co-planar. The frame is movable between the first position and a second position wherein the first and second plates are positioned at about a 90 degree angle from each other.

Provided is a mopping unit including: a mop base, a head unit and a coupling element; wherein the coupling element having two parallel elongated reinforcing end segments integral with and flanking a central, coupling segment; the base, being a single-piece molded article having a bottom face and a top face; two elongated bores are formed in elongated abutments on the top face, each accommodating one of the two reinforcing end segments; the base being configured for attaching a mopping substrate on the bottom face; and wherein the head unit being pivotally coupled to said central segment to permit it to pivot about a first axis essentially parallel to said central segment and including a receptacle for an end of a mopping handle.
