Engine warm-up bypass control
An engine controller to control a plurality of engines is disclosed. The engine controller may determine that power to a load is to be increased, wherein the load is configured to be powered by one or more of the plurality of engines; determine that an engine, of the plurality of engines, is configured to provide supplemental power to the load after a temperature of the engine satisfies a threshold, wherein the threshold corresponds to a warm-up operation of the engine being completed; determine that the temperature of the engine does not satisfy the threshold; obtain, via an operator interface, an authorization to bypass the warm-up operation of the engine; and bypass, based on obtaining the authorization, the warm-up operation for the engine to permit the engine to provide instantaneous power to the load.
CONDITIONING DEVICE FOR REGULATING A GASEOUS OR LIQUID FLUID AT A CONSTANT TARGET TEMPERATURE
A conditioning device for regulating a gaseous or a liquid fluid to a constant target temperature includes an inlet fluidically connected to a supply system, an outlet fluidically connected to a consumer, a first fluid line arranged between the inlet and outlet, a heater arranged in the first fluid line, a second fluid line arranged to branch off from the first fluid line upstream of the heater and to open out into the first fluid line downstream of the heater, a regulating valve which regulates a fluid flow arranged either in the first fluid line or in the second fluid line, a temperature sensor arranged in the first fluid line downstream of where the second fluid line opens out into the first fluid line, and a check valve arranged either in the first fluid line or in the second fluid line in which the regulating valve is not arranged.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GATHERING FLIGHT LOAD DATA
A method for gathering flight load data for a gas turbine engine includes providing a plurality of blocker doors rotatably mounted to a translating sleeve and a plurality of blocker door islands, each blocker door island disposed between circumferentially adjacent blocker doors of the plurality of blocker doors and mounted to at least one mounting point of the translating sleeve, wherein a blocker door island of the plurality of blocker door islands is a data acquisition unit; and connecting the data acquisition unit to at least one sensor in communication with the translating sleeve.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING AN EXPOSURE TEMPERATURE OF AN ENGINE COMPONENT USING LUBRICATION FLUID ANALYSIS
Systems and methods are provided for determining an exposure temperature in an engine. One or more particles filtered from lubrication fluid of an engine may be analyzed. The chemical composition of filtered particles may be compared to reference data which includes a relationship between chemical composition and exposure temperature. An estimate of the exposure temperature may be determined. An output may be generated based on the exposure temperature.
CONTROL OF POWER GENERATION SYSTEM BY VISUALLY MONITORING COMPONENT DURING OPERATION
Embodiments of the present disclosure include a method for controlling a power generation system, the method including: detecting a heat distribution across a component of a power generation system from a thermal output of the component, during operation of the power generation system; calculating a projected heat distribution across the component based on a library of modeling data for the power generation system; calculating whether a difference between the heat distribution and the projected heat distribution exceeds a thermal threshold; adjusting the power generation system in response to the difference exceeding the predetermined threshold, wherein the adjusting includes modifying an operating setting of the power generation system.
Waveform analytics for optimizing performance of a machine
An apparatus obtains waveforms representing measurements of a physical characteristic of a machine's operation and performance results of the machine corresponding respectively to the waveforms, each of the performance results being indicative of the machine's performance under conditions at which the measurement represented by the corresponding waveform was made. The apparatus calculates, for each of at least interval associated with each of the waveforms, an influence value that represents a degree of influence of the waveforms on the performance results over the interval.
COOLING DEVICE FOR ENGINE, AND FAILURE DETERMINATION METHOD THEREOF
When an engine rotation speed is lower than a reference rotation speed, first failure determination in which failure of a flow rate control valve is determined based on a pressure change of cooling water detected by a pressure sensor is executed, when a valve closing instruction to switch the flow rate control valve from an opened state to a closed state is output from a valve control device; and when an engine rotation speed is equal to or higher than the reference rotation speed, second failure determination in which failure of the flow rate control valve is determined based on a pressure change of cooling water detected by a pressure sensor is executed, when a valve opening instruction to switch the flow rate control valve from a closed state to an opened state is output from the valve control device.
AGRICULTURAL WORK VEHICLE AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING STATE OF AGRICULTURAL WORK VEHICLE
An agricultural work vehicle according to an aspect of the invention that can monitor a state of the agricultural work vehicle when the agricultural work vehicle performs agricultural work using a working machine which is attached thereto includes: a vehicle body; a working machine that is attached to the front or rear of the vehicle body and performs agricultural work; an engine that generates a driving force for movement of the vehicle body and work of the working machine; and a monitoring device that determines at least one of whether there is an abnormality in a temperature of a coolant for cooling the engine, whether there is an abnormality in a pressure of an engine oil supplied to the engine, and whether there is an abnormality in the engine when the working machine performs work using the driving force.
