SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SAMPLING CHEMICAL SPECIES IN VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTS
A cartridge sampler for collecting a target species from an environment for subsequent chemical analysis includes removable collection media having at least one molecule sensor thereon. The cartridge sampler includes a means for tagging a geospatial location and time that the fluid samples are provided to the collection media such that the location and time that the fluid samples are provided to the collection media can be later determined. Also disclosed are systems and methods for collecting species from various environments including a subsurface formation, a pipeline, and gaseous, soil or sub-slab, and aqueous environments. The cartridge sampler is fitted on or within a device designed for moving within each environment.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECTION TRANSFER
Provided here are systems and methods for microtomy, including a microtome and a transfer tape system. The microtome can be used for sectioning a tissue section from a tissue block. The transfer tape system can include a transfer tape configured to adhere to a front face of the tissue block and collect one or more tissue sections sectioned by the microtome and to transfer the one or more tissue sections to one or more slides; and at least one tension device for controlling tension and an angle of the transfer tape relative the tissue block or the one or more slides. The at least one tension device can be configured to maintain the transfer tape at a predetermined tension or maintain the transfer tape at a predetermined angle relative to the tissue block or the one or more slides.

Horizontal-flow-type apparatus for automatically transporting reagent cartridges
The present invention relates to a horizontal-flow-type apparatus for automatically transporting reagent cartridges. The apparatus includes: a magazine (110) in which a plurality of reagent cartridges (1) is stacked; a conveyer belt (120) having a plurality of separating projections (121) arranged in a conveying direction to horizontally separately convey the reagent cartridges (1); a driving motor (130) for driving the conveyer belt (120); a feeding unit (140) for feeding the reagent cartridges (1) stacked in the magazine (110) onto the conveyer belt (120); an examining unit (150) disposed over the front end of the conveyer belt (120) to examine the reagent cartridges (1); and reagent cartridge aligning members (161, 162) disposed in the conveying line of the conveyer belt (120), opposite to the examining unit (150), to align the reagent cartridges (1) in position.
Sample collection system and parts thereof
The invention relates to a sample collection system for collecting sub-samples from a material stream, the system including a valve arrangement and a static cone splitter, and wherein the valve arrangement is arranged to enable operation of the static cone splitter to collect a non-biased sample of the material stream fed to the static cone splitter under first and second operational conditions, the first operational condition requiring the material stream to be at substantially atmospheric pressure and flowing at a minimum functional flow rate, and the second operational condition requiring the material stream to be pressurised above atmospheric pressure and at a flow rate higher than the minimum functional flow rate. The invention also relates to a static cone splitter for use with the system, together with a cone member for use with the static cone splitter.
