Apparatus and a method are provided for bringing a well-fluid sample in a well through a sampling device which is in fluid communication with the apparatus. The apparatus includes: a dump chamber for receiving the well-fluid sample; a first hydraulic piston arranged in a first cylinder housing; a second hydraulic piston arranged in a second cylinder housing; a piston rod for mechanically connecting the first piston to the second piston to form a piston arrangement, the dump chamber being defined by the first piston and a portion of the first cylinder housing. The apparatus further includes at least one holding device arranged to switch between an active position, in which the piston arrangement is held fixed against movement, and an inactive position, in which the piston arrangement is allowed a movement relative to the cylinder housings.

SAMPLING ARRANGEMENT

The invention provides a sampling arrangement (105) for sampling from a reactor (50), the sampling arrangement (105) comprising a gas inlet (110), a solvent inlet (120), a solvent compartment (130), one or more multiple-position valves (140), a sampling compartment (150), and an outlet, wherein in a first operational mode (10) the one or more multiple-position valves (140) are configured to provide: fluid contact between the solvent inlet (120) and the solvent compartment (130); fluid contact between the reactor (50) and the sampling compartment (150); and fluid separation between the solvent compartment (130) and the sampling compartment (150); and wherein in a second operational mode (20) the one or more multiple-position valves (140) are configured to provide: fluid contact between the gas inlet (110), the solvent compartment (130), the sampling compartment (150), and the outlet (160).

An intermediate storage dosing unit for taking samples of a fluid. The intermediate storage dosing unit includes a container with an inlet and a two-way outlet. The two-way outlet has a riser as a first outlet and a drain as a second outlet. A system and a method for taking samples of a fluid. In particular, the system includes a sample acquisition unit and at least one sample vessel, the sample acquisition unit is configured to provide a fluid and the at least one sample vessel is configured to receive and store a fluid. A fluid transfer is also possible between the sample acquisition unit and the at least one sample vessel. The intermediate storage dosing unit of the type mentioned is connected between the sample acquisition unit and the at least one sample vessel.

The present invention relates to a method and system for measuring total chloride content in a process product stream. In particular, the present invention relates to a method of measuring hydrogen chloride and organochloride content, in situ, for a gaseous refinery process product stream. This method allows for measurement of hydrogen chloride and organochloride content in a single test method, which allows for optimised performance and maintenance schedules for chloride guard beds used within the refinery process.
