A system and method for flaking. The system includes a stationary roller, and moveable roller, and an adjustable fixator applying tension between the stationary and moveable rollers. The fixator includes a pressure transducer and a linear indicator. The transducer and indicator allow the fixator to read pressures and make fine adjustments to the fixator to obtain a desired gap between the two rollers.

An apparatus is provided. The apparatus is provided for interacting with a cylindrically-shaped construction material sample that defines a longitudinal axis extending from a central point of an end of the construction material sample. The apparatus includes a translation mechanism configured for rotating the construction material sample about the longitudinal axis and at least one material-interacting device spaced-apart from the translation mechanism and configured for interacting with the construction material sample.

The compacting mechanism comprises a feeding base, a rotating cam is provided at a lower end of the feeding base, and a hydraulic equipment is provided at an upper end of the feeding base. The measuring mechanism comprises a weighing base, and a height detecting base is provided at an upper end of the weighing base.
