HOUSEHOLD DISHWASHER
A household dishwasher includes: a washing water spray nozzle module disposed on an area of inner surfaces of a washing chamber and spraying washing water, which is supplied from a water supply tube, into the washing chamber; a steam generation module disposed in the washing chamber and supplying steam into the washing chamber using the washing water supplied from the washing water spray nozzle module; an induction module disposed on an outer surface of the washing chamber and heating the washing water supplied in the washing chamber; an ultrasonic vibration module disposed on an outer surface of the washing chamber and applying ultrasonic vibration to the washing water in the washing chamber to perform ultrasonic washing; and a controller disposed in a body and controlling operational relationships of internal components in response to washing order signals from a user.
System and method for controlling the water fill level within a dishwasher appliance
A dishwasher appliance includes a sump, a water supply valve for providing a flow of water into the sump, and a circulation pump that circulates water that is collected in the sump to one or more spray arm assemblies. A pressure sensor is operably coupled to the sump for monitoring sump pressure and wash fluid level. A controller regulates the water supply valve to provide the flow of water into the sump and monitors the sump pressure during the fill process. The controller further determines that the circulation pump is primed when the rate of increase of the sump pressure exceeds the predetermined threshold rate and stops further filling of the sump.
System and method for calibrating a wash fluid level detection system in a dishwasher appliance
A dishwasher appliance includes a sump that defines a transition fill level where the cross sectional area of the sump increases. A pressure sensor is operably coupled to the sump for monitoring sump pressure and wash fluid level. A controller calibrates the pressure sensor by monitoring a sump pressure and determining when the wash fluid has reached the transition fill level. A measured transition pressure is taken at this point and compared to a target transition pressure that is known based on the sump geometry. A slope correction factor is calculated based on the measured transition pressure and the target transition pressure to obtain improved pressure readings and wash fluid level measurements.
Dishwasher, method and control system for handling clogging condition
A method for handling a clogging condition in a dishwasher may include detecting the clogging condition; upon detecting the clogging condition, interrupting a wash cycle of the dishwasher and executing a remedial operation to remove the clogging condition. The remedial operation may include executing a drain operation for a predetermined drain time during which a drain pump may be continuously or intermittently operated to drain water from a sump of the dishwasher; following the drain operation, executing a fill operation for a predetermined fill time during which a fill valve may be continuously or intermittently activated to add water to the dishwasher; and following the fill operation, executing a circulation operation during which a circulation pump may be continuously or intermittently operated to remove the clogging condition. A dishwasher and a control system for handling a clogging condition are also provided.
Dishwasher spray fill
Provided are systems, methods, and apparatus for spraying water in a dishwasher. A dishwasher may include a wash chamber and at least one dish rack. The dishwasher may include a water inlet selectively connected to a dish spray device, which may connect a dish spray conduit with the wash chamber. The dish spray device may be oriented towards the at least one dish rack, such that the spray device may be configured to direct water onto the dishes for washing. The water inlet may be selectively connected to a fill device, which may connect the fill conduit with the wash chamber. The fill device may be configured to provide water to the circulation assembly without impinging the at least one dish rack. The one or more valves may selectively direct water from the water inlet to one or both of the dish spray device and the fill device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING A FILL CYCLE IN A DISHWASHER APPLIANCE
A dishwasher appliance includes a sump that defines a transition fill level where the cross sectional area of the sump increases. A pressure sensor is operably coupled to the sump for monitoring sump pressure and wash fluid level. A controller opens a water supply valve to provide a flow of water into the sump and monitors the sump pressure using the pressure sensor. The controller determines when the water has reached the transition fill level corresponding to a known transition fill volume. The controller determines a fill flow rate based on the amount of time needed to reach the transition fill volume and uses the fill flow rate to determine a remaining fill time needed to reach a target volume.

A pressure sensor is operably coupled to the sump for monitoring sump pressure and wash fluid level. A controller calibrates the pressure sensor by monitoring a sump pressure and determining when the wash fluid has reached the transition fill level. A controller regulates the water supply valve to provide the flow of water into the sump and monitors the sump pressure during the fill process. The controller further determines that the circulation pump is primed when the rate of increase of the sump pressure exceeds the predetermined threshold rate and stops further filling of the sump.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed are a dishwasher that sprays wash water to wash dishes or cookware and a method of controlling the same. The method of controlling the dishwasher includes supplying wash water from an external water source to a sump and intermittently driving a washing pump to change the level of water around a filter, thereby removing filth from the filter.
Estimating water fill rate in an appliance for washing and rinsing goods
A method and corresponding appliance for carrying out the method may include detecting insufficient circulation pump pressure or process water flow rate through a circulation pump of the appliance, supplying water to a compartment of the appliance and logging a time period during which the water is supplied to the compartment and increasing the speed of the circulation pump to a target pump speed where the circulation pump pressure or the process water flow rate through the circulation pump has reached a sufficient operational level. The method may include logging at least two circulation pump speeds and a time period during which the water is supplied to the compartment, and estimating the water fill rate based on predetermined difference in compartment process water volume for the logged at least two speeds and the water supply time period.
