DISHWASHER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed are a dishwasher that sprays wash water to wash dishes or cookware and a method of controlling the same. The method of controlling the dishwasher includes supplying wash water from an external water source to a sump and intermittently driving a washing pump to change the level of water around a filter, thereby removing filth from the filter.
DRAINAGE DEVICE AND DISHWASHER HAVING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a drainage device and a dishwasher having the same. The drainage device includes a drain pump including a drain port for discharging water, a drain pipe guiding discharge of water discharged from the drain pump, an air chamber in which the drain pump is connected to an upper portion thereof and the drain pipe is connected to a lower portion thereof, and an air pump configured to inject air into the air chamber, thereby more surely blocking the backflow of water to the drain pump by air injected into the air chamber through the air pump.
Intelligent dishwashing systems and methods
Example intelligent dishwashing systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a system includes an imaging system configured to capture at least one image of an article of dishware. A processing system analyzes the at least one image to determine a presence and a location of a stain on the article of dishware. Responsive to determining the presence of a stain, a cleaning system is configured to clean the location of the stain on the article of dishware.
COLOR CHANGING DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE
Color changing alkaline warewash detergents containing a pH sensitive indicator are disclosed. In particular, the warewash detergents can change color in alkaline environments. As the soil level increases or detergent decreases, a color change indicates that the warewash machine needs to be drained and refilled. Methods of employing the color changing alkaline detergent compositions are also disclosed.
HEATED WASH FLUID CIRCULATION SYSTEM FOR HIGH SPEED REUSABLE BEVERAGE CONTAINER WASHING SYSTEM
A beverage container washing system may utilize a heated wash fluid circulation system to circulate wash fluid retained in a line between a tank and a sprayer to enable fluid that is supplied to the sprayer to be maintained at a suitable temperature for washing and/or sanitizing a beverage container, and in many instances regardless of the amount of time between wash cycles.
CONTROL CIRCUIT AND DISHWASHER COMPRISING THE SAME
A control circuit includes: a converter configured to convert alternating current (AC) power into direct current (DC) power, an inverter configured to generate driving power of at least one motor using the converted DC power, and a first core formed by winding a coil by a number of windings determined in correspondence with an impedance of the at least one motor. The number of windings is determined such that an impedance of the first core is inversely proportional to the impedance of the at least one motor and a driving power line for driving the at least one motor passes through a center of the first core.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCES AND METHODS FOR ADDRESSING OBSTRUCTION THEREIN
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as activating the drain pump for an activation period and receiving a pump-status signal during the activation period. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P1) upstream from the drain pump during the activation period, determining a condition at the filter based on the pump-status signal and P1, and directing the drain pump based on the determined condition.
SYSTEM FOR DETECTING DRAINAGE FLOW OBSTRUCTIONS IN WASHING APPLIANCES
A method of monitoring drainage of a washing appliance such as a dishwasher or washing machine having a pump for draining a washing chamber is disclosed. The method includes receiving a time series of power consumption data relating to the operation of the washing appliance over a monitored period of operation including pumped draining of the washing chamber. A measure of the duration of a portion of the monitored period comprising said pumped draining is derived from the time series of power consumption data. The measure of duration is then compared to a reference value and an indicator of a drainage condition is determined based on the comparison. The method may be used to detect scaling or blockages in drainage flow paths.
DISHWASHER WITH HEAT PUMP
A dishwasher includes: a dishwasher body including a tub that defines a washing space and a sump disposed vertically below the tub and configured to accommodate washing water; a heat pump including a compressor, a condenser, an expansion apparatus, and an evaporator; a drain storage unit connected to a drain pipe of the sump and configured to receive washing water discharged from the sump; a drain pipe open-close valve that opens and closes the drain pipe; and a controller that controls the heat pump and the drain pipe open-close valve. The evaporator is configured to exchange heat with the drain storage unit, and the controller controls the drain pipe open-close valve to open the drain pipe to move washing water of the sump to the drain storage unit when the sump is drained.
