20190301993 · 2019-10-03 ·

The present invention is to provide a flow cytometer comprising: flow cell; a liquid feeding unit for feeding a liquid different from a sample liquid containing sample particles to the flow cell; a sample liquid feeding unit for feeding the sample liquid to the flow cell after the liquid is sent to the flow cell; and a detector for detecting the sample particles flowing through the flow cell.

Processing of solid micron sized particles for rapid deposition on substrate surfaces with uniform particle distribution

This application relates generally to a method and apparatus to deposit particles onto one or more coupons, and harvest particles from one or more coupons, which may beneficially provide a more uniform or localized distribution of particles over a specified area on each coupon. The application relates to a method and apparatus for depositing particles onto one or more coupons using a sieve. The application also relates to a method and apparatus for depositing particles onto one or more coupons using a dust storm. The particle loadings achieved on each coupon or across an individual coupon may be substantially uniform. The application further relates to a laser-based method and apparatus for transferring particles deposited at localized points on a source coupon to a different substrate for further use.

NUMBER ANALYZING METHOD, NUMBER ANALYZING DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM FOR NUMBER ANALYSIS

The present invention provides a number analyzing method, a number analyzing device, and a storage medium for number analysis, which enable, with high accuracy, analysis of the number or number distribution of particulate or molecular analytes according to the kinds of the analytes. A computer control program is executed on the basis of a data group of particle-passage detection signals which are detected by a nanopore device (8) in accordance with passage of subject particles through a through-hole (12). Also, a particle type distribution estimating program, which is a number deriving means, is executed, to estimate probability density on the basis of a data group based on feature values indicating feature of the waveforms of pulse signals which correspond to the passage of particles and which are obtained as the particle-passage detection signals. Thus, the number of particles can be derived for each particle type.

SYNTHETIC HUMAN CELL MIMIC PARTICLE FOR CYTOMETRIC OR COULTER DEVICE

A method of selecting a type of particle for use in standardisation and/or calibration of a flow cytometer. The method includes determining the location of two or more particle focal points of particles flowing through a cross section of a channel in the flow cytometer; for each type of particle, determining for each particle focal point, for a beam of light directed at a type of particle at said particle focal point from a first direction, the total intensity of light scattered along a second direction; determining the difference between the highest and lowest determined light intensities of the light intensities determined at the two or more particle focal points; and selecting a type of particle for which the difference between the highest and lowest determined light intensities at the two or more particle focal points is below a predetermined threshold.

Image analysis and measurement of biological samples

Methods, devices, apparatus, and systems are provided for image analysis. Methods of image analysis may include observation, measurement, and analysis of images of biological and other samples; devices, apparatus, and systems provided herein are useful for observation, measurement, and analysis of images of such samples. The methods, devices, apparatus, and systems disclosed herein provide advantages over other methods, devices, apparatus, and systems.

Particle processing systems and methods for normalization/calibration of same

Systems, methods and non-transitory storage medium are disclosed herein for adjusting an output of a particle inspection system representative of a particle characteristic for a particle flowing in a flow-path of a particle processing system. More particularly, the output may be processed and a calibrated output of the particle characteristic generated. In other embodiments, one or more calibration particles are used. Thus, an output of a particle inspection system representative of a particle characteristic for one or more calibration particles flowing in a flow-path of a particle processing system may be compared relative to a standard and an action may be taken based on a result of the comparing the output to the standard.
