A cell analysis device includes a determination target identifier extraction portion configured to extract a determination target identifier that is information indicating an identification substance associated with a determination target cell that is a cell of a determination target from a table indicating a corresponding relationship between the cell and the identification substance for each compartment with respect to compartments flowing along a flow path including the cell and the identification substance that is a substance associated with the cell, an identifier acquisition portion configured to acquire the identifier that is the information for identifying the identification substance included in the compartments flowing along the flow path, a determination portion configured to determine a compartment including the determination target cell among the compartments flowing along the flow path on the basis of the identifier acquired by the identifier acquisition portion and the determination target identifier extracted by the determination target identifier extraction portion, and an output portion configured to output a determination result of the determination portion.
Cell Counter
Cell counters and methods of their use are disclosed herein. The cell counters comprise a sample mounting system that includes a base comprising a mounted lower sample surface and a cover comprising a mounted upper sample surface; a bright-field light source incorporated in the cover; an objective lens mounted below the sample mounting system; optionally, a fluorescence excitation source in optical communication with the sample mounting system; and an imaging system in optical communication with the bright-field light source and the objective lens. The mounted sample surfaces are configured for repeated use, such that disposable sample cartridges are not needed.

There is provided technology that enables a microparticle sorting device to be adjusted highly accurately without using adjustment beads. The present technology provides a microparticle sorting device including a light detection unit that optically detects a microparticle flowing through a flow path, a droplet forming unit that forms a droplet containing the microparticle, and a device adjustment unit that adjusts the device, in which, in a process of adjusting the device before actual measurement of the microparticle, the device adjustment unit performs optical axis position calibration for calibrating a relative position of the flow path relative to irradiation light and delay time calibration for calibrating a delay time from light irradiation to the microparticle to formation of the droplet on the basis of information obtained from the microparticle to be measured.
Advanced laminar flow water condensation technology for ultrafine particles
This technology relates to the enlargement by water condensation in a laminar flow of airborne particles with diameters of the order of a few nanometers to hundreds of nanometers to form droplets with diameters of the order of several micrometers. The technology presents several advanced designs, including the use of double-stage condensers. It has application to measuring the number concentration of particles suspended in air or other gas, to collecting these particles, or to focusing these particles.
Microparticle sorting device, and method and program for sorting microparticles
Provided are a microparticle sorting device, and a method and a program for sorting microparticles capable of stabilizing sorting performance over a prolonged period of time. The microparticle sorting device includes an imaging element and a controller. The imaging element obtains an image of fluid and fluid droplets at a position where the fluid discharged from an orifice which generates a fluid stream is converted into the fluid droplets. The controller controls driving voltage of an oscillation element which gives oscillation to the orifice and/or controls a position of the imaging element based on a state of the fluid in the image and/or a state of a satellite fluid droplet. The satellite fluid droplet does not include microparticles and exists between the position, where the fluid is converted into the fluid droplets, and a fluid droplet, among fluid droplets including the microparticles, which is closest to the position where the fluid is converted into the fluid droplets.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SINGLE PARTICLE DEPOSITION
A method of depositing single particles onto a target comprises the steps of loading a particle suspension to a droplet dispenser having a suspension reservoir and a nozzle section, detecting particles in the nozzle section, testing a single particle condition of the droplet dispenser, wherein it is determined whether an ejection region of the nozzle section includes one single particle, and operating the droplet dispenser for dispensing a droplet, wherein the droplet is dispensed onto the target, if the single particle condition is fulfilled, or the droplet is dispensed into a collection reservoir, if the single particle condition is not fulfilled, wherein the step of testing the single particle condition further includes determining whether a sedimentation region adjacent to the ejection region is free of particles. Furthermore, a dispenser apparatus dispensing single particles onto a target is described.

There is provided a droplet sorting device including a detector configured to detect a state of droplets ejected from an orifice that generates a fluid stream and of satellite droplets existing between the droplets, and a controller configured to control a frequency of a driving voltage supplied to a vibration element that applies vibration to the orifice on the basis of positions where the satellite droplets exist.

The invention provides for the spatial determination of a flow stream and the subsequent automatic alignment of analysis devices and/or collection vessels.
