The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher having a heat pump, including a dishwasher body provided with a tub configured with a washing space therein and a sump provided at a bottom of the tub to temporarily accommodate washing water; a heat pump having a compressor, an evaporator, an expansion apparatus, and a sump condenser provided inside the sump to exchange heat with washing water inside the sump; and a controller that controls the heat pump to be driven so as to increase the temperature of the washing water inside the sump. As a result, a heating time of washing water may be shortened, thereby suppressing washing time from being prolonged.

A dishwasher includes a washing system configured as a recirculation loop and a dirt discharge system associated with the washing system. The dirt discharge system is associated with a separator apparatus configured so as to separate at least a portion of the washing liquid required to empty a dirt collection region of the dirt discharge system and discharged together with the dirt particles from the dirt collection region from the dirt particles discharged from the dirt collection region and to return the separated washing liquid back to the water circulation of the dishwasher.

A dishwasher appliance includes a drain basin defined at a bottom of a sump of the dishwasher. The drain basin defines a discharge port and a drain pump is in fluid communication with the discharge port for selectively urging a flow of wash fluid through the discharge port to an external drain during a drain cycle. A check valve assembly includes a check valve removably positioned over the discharge port between the drain pump and the drain basin and a positioning arm attached to the check valve for positioning and locking the check valve in place.

It is an aspect of the present disclosure to provide a dish washing machine capable of actively responding to a problem when circulation of washing water is not smoothly performed by sequentially and selectively performing a bubble removal operation, a filter blockage removal operation, and a water supply operation, and a method of controlling the same.

A filter assembly includes a first filter member including a first filter panel which defines a central axial aperture and a second filter member including a second filter panel which defines a central axial aperture. Provided are systems, methods, and apparatus for spraying water in a dishwasher. A dishwasher may include a wash chamber and at least one dish rack. The dishwasher may include a water inlet selectively connected to a dish spray device, which may connect a dish spray conduit with the wash chamber. The dish spray device may be oriented towards the at least one dish rack, such that the spray device may be configured to direct water onto the dishes for washing. The water inlet may be selectively connected to a fill device, which may connect the fill conduit with the wash chamber. The fill device may be configured to provide water to the circulation assembly without impinging the at least one dish rack. The one or more valves may selectively direct water from the water inlet to one or both of the dish spray device and the fill device.

A dishwasher that includes a tub including an interior area that is configured to receive objects and includes a bottom surface, wherein the bottom surface of the tub includes a first hole; a spray arm that is located in the tub and that is configured to spray water; a sump that is (i) coupled to the tub, (ii) located under the first hole, and (iii) configured to store water; a pump configured to provide water stored in the sump to the spray arm; a cover including a cover body that is coupled to the first hole, and a second hole penetrating the cover body; a supporter including a support body that is coupled to the second hole, and a third hole penetrating the support body; and a filter unit that is coupled to the third hole and that is configured to filter water provided to the sump is disclosed.
