METHOD OF ANALYZING GLYCATED PROTEIN, ANALYSIS REAGENT, ANALYSIS KIT, AND TEST PIECE FOR ANALYSIS
A method of analyzing a glycated protein, including reacting a color developer represented by the following Formula (1) with a biological sample; and measuring a color reaction of the color developer,
##STR00001## wherein, in Formula (1), X is an alkali metal ion. The biological sample may be a serum sample or a plasma sample. The biological sample in a liquid state may be added to the color developer in a dry state.
METHOD OF DETERMINING THE CONCENTRATION OF AT LEAST ONE ANALYTE IN A BODY FLUID
A method of determining concentration of an analyte in a body fluid uses a mobile device having a camera and an ambient light detector. The ambient light detector has an ambient light sensor and/or an additional camera. An ambient light check is performed. In the ambient light check, ambient light is used to determine an item of ambient light information. If a validity criterion is determined to be met, the concentration of the analyte is determined by evaluating an image of at least a part of a reagent test region of an optical test strip having a sample of body fluid applied thereto. The image is captured by the camera. A mobile device, a kit, a computer program and a computer-readable storage medium are also disclosed.

COLORIMETRIC CHEMICAL SENSOR WITH ENHANCED COLOR SENSITIVITY
A colorimetric sensor for detecting an analyte of interest in a fluid sample includes a lamellar photonic material having alternating layers of a first polymer layer and a second polymer layer. Each first polymer layer can be a molecularly imprinted polymer defining a cavity shaped to receive an analyte of interest. The photonic material is configured such that, when an analyte contacts the photonic material and becomes disposed within a cavity of the molecularly imprinted polymer, a refractive property of the photonic material changes, causing a detectable color change in the sensor.

METHODS AND SENSORS FOR DETECTION
Described are chromogenic sensors, methods of use, and kits including sensors. The sensors can have a polymer structure with a waveform cross-section in a programmed state. Upon exposure to a first liquid, the polymer structure in the programmed state changes to polymer structure in an activated state. Methods for measuring the presence of a liquid using the sensor are described, as are kits including the sensors.

METHOD OF ESTIMATING CHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND OF WATER
The present disclosure provides a color chart and a test kit for estimating chemical oxygen demand of water. The color chart includes a blue component, an indigo component, an umber component, and an orange component. The test kit includes an oxidant, a reductant, an indicator, and the color chart. The present disclosure also provides a method for estimating chemical oxygen demand of water. The method includes providing a water sample; adding an oxidant to the water sample; heating the water sample; adding a reductant to the water sample; adding an indicator to the water sample, such that the water sample develops a color; and matching the color of the water sample with the color components of the color chart to estimate the chemical oxygen demand of the water sample.
