Inlet valve for household appliances with variable attachment of a flowmeter
The present invention provides a flowmeter for determining a fluid flow rate through an associated valve assembly, the flowmeter comprising a housing; a sensor arrangement disposed in the housing, the sensor arrangement comprising at least one sensor configured to detect a quantity indicative of the fluid flow rate through the valve assembly; and an coupling portion provided at the housing and configured to engage with an associated counter-coupling portion of the valve assembly for selectively attaching the flowmeter to the valve assembly in an orientation selectable from a group comprising at least a first orientation and a second orientation. The present invention also provides a valve assembly having a counter-coupling portion configured to receive an associated coupling portion of the flowmeter for selectively attaching the flowmeter to the valve assembly in any one of at least a first orientation and a second orientation. An inlet valve provided by the present invention comprises the flowmeter and the valve assembly, wherein the flowmeter is attached to the valve assembly in either one of the first or second orientation.
Dishwasher with water valve having volumetric flow control
A dishwasher has a treating chamber for receiving dishes for treatment according to an automatic cycle of operation and a dispensing system for storing and dispensing a treating chemistry to the treating chamber during the cycle of operation. The dishwasher may dispense a treating chemistry when a temperature of a liquid in the treating chamber satisfies a predetermined temperature threshold. The temperature of the liquid may be maintained to satisfy the predetermined temperature threshold for a predetermined period of time based on the treating chemistry.
Alternating pump direction for fluid detection
A domestic appliance and a method at the domestic appliance for detecting presence of process water in a pump of the domestic appliance are provided. The method of detecting process water in a pump of a domestic appliance may include operating the pump to rotate in a first direction, recording a first response of the pump rotating in the first direction based on a measured pump operation parameter, operating the pump to rotate in a second direction, and recording a second response of the pump rotating in the second direction based on the measured pump operation parameter. The method may further include comparing the first response and the second response, and determining the presence of water in the pump based on the comparison of the first and second response.
AUXILIARY GRAY WATER SOURCE DEVICE FOR COMMERCIAL KITCHENS
An auxiliary gray water supply device captures used wash water from a commercial warewashing machine for supply to a pre-rinse station without substantial modification of the commercial warewashing machine. The captured wash water and treatment agent are delivered to a pre-rinse station for pre-rinsing of dishes that will be washed within the commercial warewashing machine.
Dishwasher
Disclosed is a dishwasher including a tub, a door, a sump, a rack, a spray arm, a water guide including a supply flow-path for movement of the wash water from the sump and a supply port formed in the supply flow-path, a supply unit including a support body for receiving the wash water, a connection pipe extending from the support body to the spray arm, and an spray arm coupler, and a connection member including a coupling body coupled to the water guide and the support body, and a through-hole formed in the coupling body. The supply unit includes a rearwardly protruding insertion portion, and the connection member includes protrusions spaced apart from each other to define an insertion space for the protruding insertion portion, so that the supply unit is coupled to the water guide as the protruding insertion portion is inserted into one of the insertion space.
Washer
A washer includes: a supply-water storage section configured to store supply water; a wastewater storage section configured to temporarily store wastewater and a wastewater heat recovery device including a water supply channel through which the supply water is supplied to the supply-water storage section and a drain channel through which the wastewater is drained from the wastewater storage section, and configured to exchange heat between the wastewater flowing in the drain channel and the supply water flowing in the water supply channel. the wastewater heat recovery device is disposed below the washing chamber, and is provided in a machine chamber in which a pump configured to deliver the supply water from the supply-water storage section to the washing chamber is disposed, and the drain channel is connected to a drain hole of the wastewater storage section.
Commercial ware-washer exchange head
A ware-washer control assembly includes electrical control components, an inlet water plumbing assembly, and a drain mechanism. Each of the electrical control components, inlet water plumbing assembly, and drain mechanism are contained within or attached to a housing for shipment and off-site service and distribution. The housing includes at least a first connector for attaching the housing to a ware-washer cabinet. The ware-washer control assembly further includes a plurality of connectors for connecting the electrical control components and inlet water plumbing assembly to a corresponding supply source and for connecting the drain mechanism to a drain plug assembly. Each of the first connector and the plurality of connectors are connected and disconnected by a user without tools.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher having a tub defining a wash chamber, dish racks located within the wash chamber, and pump assembly for recirculating wash liquid is further provided with a rotating spray arm located configured to direct a spray of liquid into the wash chamber to define a first wash zone and at least one nozzle configured to direct a spray of liquid into the wash chamber to define a second wash zone.
Hydraulic control device for liquid-conducting household appliances and systems
A hydraulic control device for liquid-conducting household appliances or systems comprises:a hydraulic unit (11), having a hydraulic body (15) defining a duct (30) for the liquid, the duct (30) having an inlet (18i) and an outlet (31), the duct (30) being at least partially defined with an electrically insulating material, an electrical valve arrangement (EV, SH) on the hydraulic body (15), which is electrically switchable between a closing position and an opening position, to prevent or enable, respectively, passage of the liquid between the inlet (180 and the outlet (31) of the duct (30), a flow sensor on the hydraulic body (15). The flow sensor is a non-mechanical flow sensor comprising at least two electrical detection elements (42), prearranged for contact with the liquid that flows in the duct (30) and carried by at least one support (41), that preferably at least partly extends within, or faces the inside of, the duct (30) and/or has two opposite major faces that are substantially parallel to a direction of a flow of the liquid.
