Dishwasher and method for controlling the same
A dishwasher, in which a reservoir provided with an electrolyzer is connected to a water collector via a flow path change valve, and wash water in the reservoir is electrolyzed by the electrolyzer during non-operation of the wash water, to generate sterilizing water and to circulate the sterilizing water into the dishwasher, thereby achieving an enhancement in sterilizability of the dishwasher. A method for controlling a dishwasher makes it possible to suppress propagation of microorganisms left in the dishwasher and to remove organic substances, using a sterilizing agent or high-temperature water. It is also possible to reduce generation of offensive odor caused by decomposition of bacteria, through a reduction in the amount of bacteria in the dishwasher. Since sterilization of the dishwasher is automatically carried out, enhanced user convenience is provided.
DOMESTIC APPLIANCE FOR THE CLEANING OF HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
A domestic appliance is proposed, in particular a dishwasher (1), a washing machine or similar, with a water supply unit comprising a water supply line (2) for the supply of water, in particular for the supply of drinking water from the drinking water network, wherein the water supply unit has at least one first actuation element (3), in particular a water inlet valve (3) for purposes of opening and/or closing the water supply line (2), wherein a process water unit (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14) is provided for the process water of the domestic machine, wherein at least one decoupling unit (5), in particular an air gap (5), is provided between the process water unit and the water supply unit for purposes of decoupling the process water of the domestic appliance from the water supply line (2), in particular from the drinking water network, so that the water supply line (2) comprises at least one first opening (6) designed as a water outflow opening (6), which at least partially eliminates the disadvantages of the prior art, and in particular has a higher operational reliability with regard to disturbances in the water flow. This is inventively achieved, in that at least the water supply line (2) comprises at least one second opening (7), wherein the second opening (7) is designed as an air inflow opening (7) for the inflow of air into the water supply line (2).
Method for using a softened acidic water source
Methods and systems for acid regeneration of ion exchange resins are disclosed. Acid resins designed for use in a variety of cleaning application using a water source use a treated, softened, acidic water source according to the invention. Various methods of using the softened acidic water generated by acid regenerate-able ion exchange resins are disclosed to beneficially reduce spotting, filming and scale buildup on treated surfaces, reduce and/or eliminate the need for polymers, threshold reagents and/or rinse aids, and using protons generated in the acidic water effluent for triggering events useful in various cleaning applications.
System and associated method for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher
A method, system, and computer-program product for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher are disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, a method for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher is provided, wherein the dishwasher includes a water valve for providing water to the dishwasher and a drain pump for removing water from the dishwasher. The method comprises detecting an overfill condition in the dishwasher with at least one detection device, wherein the overfill condition corresponds to a water level in the dishwasher that is greater than a predetermined threshold. The method further includes controlling the drain pump and the water valve in response to detecting the overfill condition in order to facilitate removal of the overfill condition.
Dishwasher comprising a detergent dispenser
The present invention relates to a dishwasher (1) comprising a tub (3) having more than one side wall (2), wherein the washing process is performed, a door (4) providing access into the tub (3) and a detergent dispenser (5) disposed on the door (4) wherein the chemical substances like detergent, softener and rinse aid are placed.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING AT LEAST ONE VARIABLE OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTIC OF A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
A method that allows the determination of at least one variable operational characteristic of a hydraulic system which includes a hydraulic fluid source a utilizing apparatus connected to the source through a conduit, and a flow-rate measuring device, positioned after the source for providing a signal indicative of the flow-rate of the liquid. The method includes the operations of providing in the hydraulic system an indicator device containing information indicative of the values taken by a predetermined parameter of the flow-rate measuring device as a function of the flow rate of the fluid; providing an acquisition means adapted to acquire the information from the indicator device; and predisposing an electronic processing means to calculate in a predetermined manner at least one operational characteristic of the hydraulic system, as a function of the flow-rate measuring device and of the information acquired by the indicator device.
