Insulated door assembly
A vacuum insulated door for an appliance includes an outer wrapper that defines an evacuation port. An inner liner is coupled to the outer wrapper defining an insulating cavity therebetween. A base is coupled to the outer wrapper adjacent to the evacuation port. A servicing tube has a connecting end and a servicing end. The servicing tube is in fluid communication with the insulating cavity via the evacuation port. The connecting end is coupled to the base. A handle has first and second ends coupled to the outer wrapper and a center portion therebetween spaced-apart from the outer wrapper. The first end is coupled to the outer wrapper proximate the evacuation port. The servicing tube extends along an inner surface of the handle.
Wash system for washing appliance
A washing machine such as a dishwashing machine, preferably of the drawer-style or table-top style, or a laundry washing machine, the washing machine having at least one low-height wash liquid conduit connecting the outlet of a sump region of a washing tub to a wash pump. The at least one low-height conduit having a transverse cross-section that is substantially oblong. In one aspect, the surface of a heating unit forms a surface of a low-height conduit. In another aspect, the sump is provided with multiple outlets. In another aspect, a cover plate is provided for covering a section of a washing tub base and the at least one low-height conduit is formed between the base of the washing tub and the cover plate by a combination thereof. In another aspect, a pump cap component is located in the washing tub, the pump cap component having upper and lower spaced walls and at least one connecting wall between the upper and lower spaced walls, the connecting wall(s) arranged so as to form a closed shape when viewed from above, the closed shape including a wash pump housing volume for an impeller of the wash pump.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher is provided that may include a tub configured to define a washing space in which a washing object is washed, the tub having an open side, a first accommodating rack configured to accommodate the washing object inside of the tub, the first accommodating rack being unloadable from the tub, and a door configured to selectively open and close the open side of the tub, the door supporting the first accommodating rack when the first accommodating rack is unloaded. The tub may include a first protrusion protruding from an inner sidewall of the tub toward the washing space so as to support the first accommodating rack and guide movement of the first accommodating rack, and a second protrusion provided above the first protrusion and protruding from the inner sidewall of the tub toward the washing space so as to prevent the first accommodating rack from being lifted upward when the first accommodating rack is unloaded.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher capable of shortening drying time is disclosed. The present device comprises: a main body having a washing tub provided therein; a door rotatably coupled to the main body so as to open and close the washing tub; a blowing duct having a passage provided between the outside of the washing tub and the inside of the main body so as to provide a flow path through which the air flowing from the outside flows, and a discharge port provided at the passage so as to spray air to the outside; and a blowing means connected to the blowing duct so as to provide the external air into the blowing duct, and forcibly causing wet steam in the washing tub to flow to the front of the main body, wherein the passage has at least one variable section for changing the cross sectional area thereof.

A dishwasher including a cabinet with a treating chamber having an open face, which is selectively closed by a door assembly. The door assembly has an outer door spaced from an inner door to define an interior space between the outer and inner doors. A stiffener is located between the inner and outer doors.
Status indicator and lighting assembly for an appliance door
A handle assembly for an appliance door includes a handle frame mounted over a handle aperture defined in the appliance door. The handle frame defines a pocket recess for receiving a pocket handle, which is spaced apart from the handle frame to define an illumination gap for receiving a status indicator, such as a light pipe which may transmit light without directing that light into the pocket recess. The light pipe is illuminated by a lighting assembly including a light board having a plurality of light sources mounted thereon and positioned at a rear of the light pipe, wherein at least two of the light sources illuminate in different colors.

A method of operating a dishwasher appliance, as provided herein, may include detecting a door of the dishwasher appliance in an open position and determining the door is maintained in the open position for a preset minimum continuous period. The method may further include detecting the door in a closed position following the preset minimum continuous period. The method may still further include measuring an additive volume of a wash additive in an additive compartment on the door while the door is in the closed position following the preset minimum continuous period.

A dishwasher, in particular a domestic dishwasher, including a washing compartment, at least one washing basket disposed in the washing compartment to hold items for washing, and a door configured to close the washing compartment. The door has a planar surface to form an inner face of the door as a whole or a part thereof. When the door is closed, a guide structure including a plurality of individual guide elements projects in a raised manner from the planar surface into an interior of the washing compartment and is disposed so as to guide a drying fluid flowing along the inner face of the door onto the items in the washing compartment, when the dishwasher is in drying mode.

A light-emitting device is provided for a cooking appliance that includes a body that defines a cooking chamber having an opening, and a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the opening of the cooking chamber. The light-emitting device includes a light-emitting member that is located on at least one of the door or the body, that faces a gap defined between an edge portion of the door and a front portion of the body, and that is configured to emit light of a predetermined color in response to operation of the cooking chamber, and a reflective portion that extends from the front portion of the body, that is configured to receive light from the light-emitting member through the gap, and that is configured to direct light in a direction away from the door.
