A handle assembly for an appliance door includes a handle frame mounted over a handle aperture defined in the appliance door. The handle frame defines a pocket recess for receiving a pocket handle, which is spaced apart from the handle frame to define an illumination gap for receiving a status indicator, such as a light pipe which may transmit light without directing that light into the pocket recess. The light pipe is illuminated by a lighting assembly including a light board having a plurality of light sources mounted thereon and positioned at a rear of the light pipe, wherein at least two of the light sources illuminate in different colors.
LOCK AND HOME APPLIANCE HAVING THE SAME
A lock and a home appliance having the same are disclosed. The lock includes a holder provided at one selected from between the cabinet and the door, a housing provided at the other selected from between the cabinet and the door, a first stopper provided at the housing, a fastening unit separably coupled to the first stopper so as to be coupled to the holder when separated from the first stopper, an actuation unit configured to reciprocate in the housing, the actuation unit being configured to be moved away from the introduction port in the state of contacting the holder when the door is moved so as to close the introduction port, the actuation unit being configured to separate the fastening unit from the first stopper while being moved away from the introduction port, a first elastic member for providing force necessary to move the fastening unit away from the introduction port when the fastening unit is separated from the first stopper, a second elastic member for providing force necessary to move the actuation unit toward the introduction port, and an actuation unit lock for fixing the actuation unit to the housing when not in contact with the door and releasing coupling between the actuation unit and the housing when in contact with the door.

Disclosed is a dishwasher comprising a cabinet, a tub defining a washing space, a door rotatably coupled to a front portion of the tub, an outlet duct provided in the door and exhausting internal air of the tub outside, an inlet duct connected to the outlet duct and sucking and blowing the internal air of the tub toward the outlet duct, a hole cover selectively opening and closing an air inlet hole provided in an entrance of the inlet duct, and a foreign substance intake preventing chamber provided under the air inlet hole and inclined downwards toward a rear surface of the door, the foreign substance intake preventing chamber preventing foreign substances from becoming drawn into the air inlet hole.
DISHWASHER APPLIANCE WITH A VORTEX AIR DRYER
A dishwasher appliance includes a tub that defines a wash chamber. A door is mounted to the tub for selectively accessing the wash chamber of the tub. A vortex air dryer has four vents and a fan. The four vents are positioned and oriented for forming a vortex air flow in the wash chamber during operation of the fan.
Rack assembly for a dishwasher
A rack assembly for an automatic dishwasher having opposing side portions, at least two axles extending outwardly from each of the opposing side portions, and a roller wheel mounted to each axle. Each roller wheel roller wheel has a hub adapted to be fixedly attached to the axle, and a wheel rotatably mounted to the hub. A plurality of separators that define pockets is integrally molded with one of the hub or the wheel. Each pocket is adapted to contain one ball bearing such that no two adjacent ball bearings make contact.

The user interface may be provided on the dishwasher appliance and include a control panel, a button body, a board housing, and a control board. The button body may be slidably mounted to the control panel. The board housing may be disposed behind the control panel along a transverse direction. The board housing may include a planar frame and a resilient cantilever. The planar frame may define a switch aperture in transverse alignment with the button body. The resilient cantilever may extend from the planar frame in forward biased engagement with the button body. The control board may be fixed to the board housing and include a contact switch positioned in transverse alignment with the switch aperture to selectively engage the button body.
