A wash-aid dispenser (20) for dispensing dishwasher detergent and rinse-aid employs a DC motor (46) and drive train (43) to separately actuate a door (23) for the release of detergent and a valve (21) for the release of rinse-aid allowing reduced noise and reduce energy operation using a single electric actuator.

A dishwasher for treating dishes according to any automatic cycle of operation may comprise a treating chamber having an access opening, a door selectively closing the access opening, and a dispenser for dispensing a treating chemistry into the treating chamber. The dispenser may comprise a treating chemistry compartment defining a cavity with an open face. The dispenser may further comprise a movable element movable within the cavity between retracted and extended positions. An actuator may move the movable element between the retracted and extended positions. When the treating chemistry is placed within the cavity, the movement of the movable element from the retracted to the extended position may expel the treating chemistry from the cavity through the open face.

A dispensing device including a support body wherein there are provided first and second dispensers, adjacent one another, for a washing agent and a rinsing agent, respectively; and an electrically-controlled actuator device, coupled to the first dispenser such that when the door is closed a first energisation of the actuator device causes the dispensing of the washing agent, and coupled to the second dispenser through a transmission mechanism predisposed to become enabled to operate after a first energisation of the actuator device after the door is closed, to allow the dispensing of the rinsing agent as a consequence of at least one subsequent energisation of the actuator device. The second dispenser has a main chamber adapted to contain a plurality of doses of rinsing agent and a dosing chamber having a predetermined volume. During displacement obturator between the rest position and the loading position, the main chamber remains permanently uncoupled from the discharge conduit.

A method for operating a water-bearing household appliance for treating articles, in particular a dishwasher or washing machine, the water-bearing household appliance including a treatment chamber for treating the articles with a washing liquor and a dosing system for dispensing a dosing-amount of detergent provided by a dosing unit, the method comprising: selecting one of a plurality of different treatment cycles, controlling the water-bearing household appliance to perform the selected treatment cycle, actuating the dosing system to dispense the dosing-amount of detergent according to the selected treatment cycle, detecting a sensor signal of the dispensed dosing-amount of detergent, adjusting the selected treatment cycle as a function of the detected sensor signal, and controlling the water-bearing household appliance to perform the adjusted treatment cycle.

The disclosure relates to a device for dispensing a cleaning agent into a dishwasher, having a cover element for closing and releasing at least one opening of a store for storing the cleaning agent and/or an operating agent, at least one actuating element being provided which has an actuation path (W) for opening and/or fixing the cover element so that an accidental opening or unlocking is effectively prevented. According to the disclosure this is achieved in that the actuation path (W) is oriented away from the store and transversely to the opening.

A dishwasher comprises an internal reservoir for rinse-aid or other wash or rinse additive, a door associated with a refill port to the rinse-aid reservoir, and a flexible conduit between the refill port and the rinse-aid reservoir. The door associated with the refill port to the rinse-aid reservoir may also carry or enable access to a detergent compartment.

A washing-agent dispenser designed for being mounted at a through opening (A) of a tub wall (5) of a dishwasher comprises: —a dispenser body (11), having a rear part (11′) and a front part (11″); —a perimetral gasket (30) mounted in a corresponding seat (S) of the dispenser body (11) and prearranged for exerting a sealing action with respect to a mounting side (5a) of the tub wall (5); —a frame (40) having a substantially annular shape, defining a central passage (B) through which the rear part (11′) of the dispenser body (11) is insertable. A dishwasher includes: a washing container having a washing compartment and a loading opening for loading items to be washed; a washing compartment door by which the loading opening is closeable in a fluid-tight manner; and a camera unit for visually sensing the washing compartment. The camera unit is integrated into a dispenser provided by the washing compartment door.

A dishwasher includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber with an open face. A cover is movable between an opened and a closed condition to selectively open and close the open face, respectively. The cover has an inner surface confronting the open face in the closed condition. A treating chemistry dispenser is carried by the cover and includes a housing defining a cartridge chamber with a cartridge opening and a lid assembly selectively opening and closing the cartridge opening.

A household dishwasher includes a washing chamber, a control apparatus for running a washing program from a number of washing programs, a metering system having a supply unit for receiving an individual dose of a first cleaning agent and supplying the individual dose into the washing chamber at a metering point in time while running the washing program, and an automatic metering apparatus for automatically metering a plurality of metering quantities from a supply of a second cleaning agent in the form of a solid material into the washing chamber at the metering point in time, and a sensor apparatus configured to detect a state of the metering system and to emit a sensor signal depending on the detected state of the metering system. The control apparatus runs the washing program depending on the sensor signal.
