A dispensing device (1) for a dishwashing machine, the dispensing device (1) including: a body (2) configured to be mounted to a door of the dishwashing machine; a receptacle (3) formed in the body (2) to receive a quantity of a washing or rinsing agent; a movable lid (5) associated with the receptacle (3) and displaceable in a manner constrained to the body (2) against the action of a spring (8) from an open position into a closed position, where it opens and closes the receptacle (3), respectively; a gasket (6) arranged on the lid and a sealing projection (4) arranged on the body, the gasket having a sealing surface (6c) engaged by the sealing projection (4) when the lid (5) is in closed position, in such a way as to provide a seal around the receptacle (3); and a latching apparatus (11, 13) provided for locking the lid (5) in the closed position and operable to release the lid (5) from the closed position. The sealing surface (6c) of the gasket (6) has a curved cross-sectional profile over the entire length of the gasket (6), having a convexity facing towards the sealing projection (4).

A metering device for dispensing shaped cleaning-agent bodies into a washing chamber of a domestic dishwasher, comprising a reservoir, which is designed to hold a filling of the shaped cleaning-agent bodies and has a transfer opening in a region of the bottom of the reservoir, and a transport device for actively transporting the shaped cleaning-agent bodies from the transfer opening of the reservoir into the washing chamber. In addition, the metering device comprises a lifting device for raising the bottom of the reservoir at least in parts, wherein a discharge slant toward the transfer opening is produced at least in parts or the downgrade of an existing discharge slant is increased at least in parts by the raising of the bottom.

A sensor device for detecting the presence of an electrically conductive substance in a space region, and applications thereof. The sensor device includes a detecting circuit, including at least first and second foils or sheets of an electrically conductive material; and a control circuit coupled with said detecting circuit and having an output connected with one of the foils for applying a first electric radiofrequency signal thereto and an input connected to other one of the foils for receiving a second radiofrequency signal induced in said other foil. The control circuit generates an information signal indicative of the strength of the second signal, which varies as a function of the presence of a body or a substance on or at said other foil.

A detergent dispenser may dispense detergent into a wash tub of a household appliance. The detergent dispenser may include a blister pack with a plurality of detergents. One or more rotating members may be used to expel the detergent from the blister pack through one or more outlets.

A household appliance for treating at least one item according to at least one cycle of operation includes a treating chemistry dispenser receiving a unit dose container and having a door moveable between an opened position and a closed position, a piercing mechanism located proximate to the treating chemistry dispenser and having a piercer that is moveable between a non-piercing position and a piercing position where the piercer is moved to perforate a unit dose container received within the treating chemistry dispenser.

A dishwasher detergent dispenser includes a viscous damper allowing a dispenser door to be preloaded with a sufficiently strong spring to overcome resistance caused by detergent encrustation and the like while significantly reducing noise caused by the door opening.

A dispensing device for introducing a pourable detergent in metered amounts into a treatment chamber of a program-controlled cleaning appliance includes a housing provided with a loading aperture; a carrier unit rotatably mounted in the housing and accessible via the loading aperture and which serves to replaceably receive a supply container for holding the detergent; and a housing cover providing fluid-tight closure of the loading aperture. Assembly (1) for dispensing washing agents in the washing chamber (C) of a washing machine, including an integrated dispensing device for washing agents (2), comprising a body (2a) which is intended to be mounted through an opening of a sheet-like wall (F) which delimits the washing chamber (C).

The assembly (1) further comprises a reservoir (3) for liquid detergent which may be removably coupled to the body (2a) of the device for dispensing washing agents (2), and which may be positioned on the side of the device for dispensing washing agents (2) intended to face the washing chamber (C). The reservoir has a holding chamber (3d) for liquid detergent able to communicate with the outside of the reservoir (3) through at least one outlet opening (12b) for dispensing liquid detergent and an actuator assembly (21, 22, 23, 24) to control the dispensing of liquid detergent from the reservoir (3).
