Detergent dispenser module for a dishwashing appliance
A detergent dispenser module for a dishwashing appliance may generally include a body extending between a top side and a bottom side. The body may include an outer surface extending from the top side and may define a detergent chamber between the outer surface and the bottom side. The detergent chamber may be at least partially formed by an upper sidewall, a lower sidewall and a bottom wall extending between the upper and lower sidewall. In addition, the dispenser module may also include at least one flow diverter extending outwardly from the outer surface at a location adjacent to the upper sidewall of the detergent chamber. The flow diverter(s) may be angled in a direction of a fluid collection opening defined through a top of the upper sidewall such that fluid flowing downwardly along the outer surface of the body is directed into the fluid collection opening.

The first chamber is connected to the second chamber by a linking portion of water-soluble film, the length of the linking portion of water-soluble film between the first chamber and second chamber is at least 0.5 cm, the first chamber and second chamber include detergent ingredients, and the second chamber includes polymer.

A dishwasher includes a detergent supply device, in which the detergent supply device includes: a case mounted to one side of the door; a cartridge disposed in the case and storing a detergent solution; a connector body disposed in the case, connected to the cartridge, and having a discharge chamber temporarily storing the detergent solution discharged from the cartridge or discharging the detergent solution to an outside; a valve movably mounted in the connector, and allowing the discharge chamber to communicate with the cartridge or allowing the discharge chamber to communicate with an outside, depending on arrangement; and a solenoid which is disposed at one side of the case, and when a current is applied, is configured to generate a magnetic field to move the valve in a first direction.
DISHWASHER DETERGENT DISPENSER HAVING A SIPHON
A dishwasher having a detergent dispenser including an opening allowing the insertion of dishwashing detergent into the dispenser without needing to open the dispenser. The detergent dispenser includes a housing including a tray for holding the inserted detergent and the housing includes a siphon component having a cap and an outlet tube. A delivery tube provides water via one or more nozzles via the opening during operation of the dishwasher. Dissolved detergent is siphoned from the housing via the outlet tube and into the tub.

A dishwasher includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber with an open face. A cover is movable between an opened and a closed condition to selectively open and close the open face, respectively. The cover has an inner surface confronting the open face in the closed condition. A treating chemistry dispenser is carried by the cover and includes a housing defining a cartridge chamber with a cartridge opening and a lid assembly selectively opening and closing the cartridge opening. At least one treating chemistry cartridge inserted into the cartridge chamber.

A solid controlled release composition according to the present invention includes at least one cellulosic material, water, at least one active ingredient, and optionally at least one of a saccharide, sugar alcohol or salt. The active ingredient can be a polycarboxylic acid.

A dosing unit for use in an automatic dosing system of a water-bearing household appliance, for automatically dosing a dosing amount of a solid detergent, the dosing unit comprising a dosing cartridge for storing a bulk of the solid detergent and a dosing device for separating the dosing amount from the bulk and releasing the separated dosing amount by linearly displacing a sliding element from a separating position to a release position, wherein the dosing device includes a dosing channel, wherein, when the sliding element is in the separating position, the dosing channel is configured for receiving at least the dosing amount from the bulk and intermediately storing the dosing amount in a pre-dosing position, and, when the sliding element is in the release position, the dosing device is configured for releasing the dosing amount intermediately stored in the pre-dosing position.
