A personalized cleaning composition dispensing device for use in an automatic dishwasher dispensing the right chemistry at the right time during a wash cycle to provide an improved cleaning performance compared to standard automatic dishwasher dispensers. The device includes wash cycle sensing system that controls the release of chemistry via temperature and water flow data measured during the current wash cycle and uses either a preprogrammed product release algorithm for new wash cycles or a modified product release algorithm based on wash cycle data previously stored in the data storage unit for repeated wash cycles.

The present invention provides a method of dispensing a plurality of treating compositions into a multistage automatic washing machine, as well as a dispensing device comprising an associated reservoir for collection of wash liquor and at least two chambers containing a treating composition. Said chambers are activated in response to an input from a sensor.

The inlet of valve A connects to the bypass orifice A(a) of the main passage, inlet of valve B connects to liquid storage tank of detergent A, outlets of valve A and valve B connect to inlet of valve C, inlet of valve D connects to liquid storage tank of detergent B, outlets of valve C and valve D connect to inlet of the pump, outlet of the pump connects to bypass orifice B(b) of the main passage, and for the relative location of bypass orifices A and B of main passage, bypass orifice A is relatively close to the inlet of main passage, bypass orifice B is relatively close to the outlet of main passage, the nozzle connects to main passage by concatenation and between bypass orifices A and B. The invention is applicable to the dosing of detergent for electric washing equipments.

A dispensing device for introducing a pourable detergent in metered amounts into a treatment chamber of a program-controlled cleaning appliance includes: a supply container for holding the detergent, the supply container having a reservoir chamber and a metering chamber terminating in a dispensing opening, the metering chamber being fluldically connected to the reservoir chamber via an interposed passage opening; a carrier unit which is rotatable by a motor and replaceably receives the supply container; and a closure device that closes the passage opening at least until the supply container is first put into use.

A supply container for placement in a dispensing device of a program-controlled cleaning appliance, in particular a dishwasher, includes a main body providing a volumetric space, the volumetric space being of a size suitable for storing an amount of powdered detergent sufficient for performing a plurality of wash cycles. An actuator device which includes a fixed support structure, an actuation member movable, a biasing member tending to maintain the actuation member in a rest position, a shape-memory wire connected to the structure and to the actuation member, and an electric circuit for supplying an electric current to the shape-memory wire. The circuit includes a pair of terminals. One end of the shape-memory wire is connected to a first terminal. The circuit includes further an electric switch, including a first conducting member electrically connected with the second terminal, and a second conducting member carried by the actuation member and electrically connected with the other end of the shape-memory wire. A dosing unit for use in an automatic dosing system of a water-bearing household appliance for automatically dosing detergent tablets, the dosing unit comprising a storage cartridge for storing a plurality of the detergent tablets and a dosing device for releasing a respective one of the detergent tablets, wherein the storage cartridge includes a tubular section for storing the plurality of detergent tablets ordered in a line one behind the other.
