A dispenser of washing agents for washing machines has a first tank, to contain a first washing agent, and a first dispensing arrangement, to dispense first dosed amounts of the first washing agent. The first dispensing arrangement has a peristaltic pump, which is configured to be driven in a first direction of rotation to cause delivery of the first dosed amounts of the first washing agent. The dispenser has a second tank, to contain a second washing agent, and a second dispensing arrangement, to dispense second dosed amounts of the second washing agent. The peristaltic pump has a command arrangement of the second dispensing arrangement, and is configured to be driven in a second direction of rotation, to drive the command arrangement so as to cause dispensing of the second dosed amounts of the second washing agent.

A cleaning composition dispensing device for use in an automatic dishwasher is provided for dispensing the right cleaning composition at the right time during a wash cycle. The device includes wash cycle sensing system that controls the release of cleaning composition via temperature and water flow data measured with respect to time. The device includes a refill compartment receiving a multi-section refill including at least two cleaning composition sections divided by separable seams. The multi-section refill separates into individual cleaning composition sections during placement in the refill compartment that fall into the slots forming the refill compartment.

A household appliance, such as dishwasher, includes a treating chemistry cartridge configured to hold multiple unit doses of treating chemistry and dispense the treating chemistry at the appropriate time in a cycle of operation. The treating chemistry cartridge can include a one-way valve and a two-way vent for utilization of treating chemistry cartridge in multiple orientations.

Disclosed is a cup washer. The cup washer of the present disclosure includes an additive storage part and an additive supply part. The additive storage part is configured to store an additive in a storage space. The additive supply part is configured to supply the additive into the tub. The additive supply part includes a rotary plate and a piston. The rotary plate is rotated by an additive motor. The rotary plate provides an eccentric shaft. The piston is connected to the eccentric shaft by a connecting rod. The piston reciprocates within a cylinder to suction and discharge the additive from the additive storage part.

A dispenser assembly includes a housing including a plurality of inlets and an outlet. The housing defines a first portion of a flow path. A rotatable disk is positioned within the housing, and the rotatable disk includes a groove in a top side of the rotatable disk. The groove defines a second portion of the flow path. A positioning wheel is coupled to the rotatable disk. A motor is mechanically coupled to the positioning wheel for driving rotation of the rotatable disk about an axis to align the groove of the rotatable disk with one of the plurality of inlets. When the groove of the rotatable disk engages with one of the plurality of inlets, the first portion of the flow path and the second portion of the flow path mesh to provide the flow path between one of the plurality of inlets and the outlet.

A chemical dispenser includes a housing, a controller disposed in the housing for operating the chemical dispenser, at least one module bay in the housing and at least one module selectively coupled to the at least one module bay and operatively coupled to the controller for operation with the chemical dispenser. The at least one module may be selected from a plurality of modules each capable of being coupled to the at least one module bay and operating under the control of the controller. A low-maintenance piston pump module for use with the chemical dispenser is also disclosed.

A household appliance for treating articles according to a cycle of operation includes a chassis with an interior surface at least partially defining a treating chamber for receiving the articles according to the cycle of operation. A dispenser assembly can be provided with the household appliance and operably coupled to the interior surface. The dispenser can include a cartridge carrier configured to receive a cartridge with a treating chemistry reservoir.

A method for operating a water-bearing household appliance for treating articles, in particular a dishwasher or washing machine, the water-bearing household appliance including a treatment chamber for treating the articles with a washing liquor and a dosing system for dispensing a dosing-amount of detergent provided by a dosing unit, the method comprising: selecting one of a plurality of different treatment cycles, controlling the water-bearing household appliance to perform the selected treatment cycle, actuating the dosing system to dispense the dosing-amount of detergent according to the selected treatment cycle, detecting a sensor signal of the dispensed dosing-amount of detergent, adjusting the selected treatment cycle as a function of the detected sensor signal, and controlling the water-bearing household appliance to perform the adjusted treatment cycle.

A partitioned solution cartridge for automatic distribution of dishwashing chemicals includes a protective top film and a compartmentalized body including a plurality of contained solution sectors each including a fluid reservoir and a distribution chamber. The fluid reservoir is partially enclosed by a reservoir sidewall and the protective top film. The distribution chamber is partially enclosed by a chamber sidewall and the protective top film. The fluid reservoir and the distribution chamber are fluidly connected.

A dishwasher including a tub; a door to open and close the tub; and an automatic detergent dispenser disposed on the door and including a storage compartment in which solid detergents are stackable along one direction, and a transporting member at one side of the storage compartment to move a solid detergent outside of the storage compartment, the transporting member including a hub portion configured to be rotatable in a first rotational direction around a rotating axis, and a body portion extending in a radial direction from a portion of an outer rim of the hub portion, and configured to rotate together with the hub portion, wherein the body portion is configured to, when rotated in the first rotational direction, press one solid detergent outside of the storage compartment, and guide a movement of at least one remaining solid detergent inside the storage compartment along the one direction.
