A dispensing device for introducing a pourable detergent in metered amounts into a treatment chamber of a program-controlled cleaning appliance includes: a supply container for holding the detergent, the supply container having a reservoir chamber and a metering chamber terminating in a dispensing opening, the metering chamber being fluldically connected to the reservoir chamber via an interposed passage opening; a carrier unit which is rotatable by a motor and replaceably receives the supply container; and a closure device that closes the passage opening at least until the supply container is first put into use.

A supply container for placement in a dispensing device of a program-controlled cleaning appliance, in particular a dishwasher, includes a main body providing a volumetric space, the volumetric space being of a size suitable for storing an amount of powdered detergent sufficient for performing a plurality of wash cycles. A water-conducting domestic appliance, in particular a domestic dishwasher, the water-conducting domestic appliance including a washing compartment for receiving items therein that are to be subjected to a washing cycle by the water-conducting domestic appliance; a detergent dosing system, the detergent dosing system having a detergent dispenser with a receiving compartment, the receiving area for receiving at least one cartridge that is configured to hold at least one detergent; and a cartridge having separate chambers for storing at least two detergents, each chamber having a storage capacity for storing detergent that is greater than a quantity of detergent required for one washing cycle.

A dosing unit for use in an automatic dosing system of a water-bearing household appliance for automatically dosing detergent tablets, the dosing unit comprising a storage cartridge for storing a plurality of the detergent tablets and a dosing device for releasing a respective one of the detergent tablets, wherein the storage cartridge includes a tubular section for storing the plurality of detergent tablets ordered in a line one behind the other.

The dispensing assembly is in fluid communication with the tub whereby the additive from the removable cartridge is provided to the wash chamber via the dispensing assembly during an operation of the dishwashing appliance.
