Fluid mixing systems and methods
A jet-mixer for a fluid mixing system includes a housing including a mixer port formed in an inner surface of the housing, and a rotor rotatably disposed in the housing, the rotor including a rotor blade, wherein the rotor includes a first angular position in the housing restricting fluid flow through the mixer port, and a second angular position allowing fluid flow through the mixer port, wherein, in response to rotation of the rotor in the housing, the jet-mixer is configured to inject a first fluid jet through the mixer port into the passage of the fluid conduit that has a pulsed velocity profile.
CONTACTLESS MIXING USING MODULATED AIR JETS
Disclosed is a device for contactlessly mixing fluid present on the upper surface of the slide, where the device comprises a first nozzle array and a second nozzle array, the first nozzle array adapted to impart a bulk fluid flow to the fluid present on the upper surface of the slide, and the second nozzle array adapted to impart at least a first regional fluid flow to at least a portion of the fluid present on the upper surface of the slide
Multi-chambered receptacles
A receptacle having a plurality of interconnected chambers arranged to permit multiple process steps or processes to be performed independently or simultaneously. The receptacles are manufactured to separate liquid from dried reagents and to maintain the stability of the dried reagents. An immiscible liquid, such as an oil, is included to control loading of process materials, facilitate mixing and reconstitution of dried reagents, limit evaporation, control heating of reaction materials, concentrate solid support materials to prevent clogging of fluid connections, provide minimum volumes for fluid transfers, and to prevent process materials from sticking to chamber surfaces. The receptacles can be adapted for use in systems having a processing instrument that includes an actuator system for selectively moving fluid substances between chambers and a detector. The actuator system can be arranged to concentrate an analyte present in a sample. The detector can be used to detect an optical signal emitted by the contents of the receptacle.

Automatic Microfluidic System for Rapid Personalized Drug Screening and Testing Method for Personalized Antibiotic Susceptibility
The present disclosure provides an automatic microfluidic system for rapid personalized drug screening including a microfluidic chip. The microfluidic chip includes a fluid storage unit, a fluid driving unit, a reaction unit and a plurality of valve units. The fluid driving unit includes two mixing pumps. Each of the mixing pumps includes two pneumatic micro-pumps, a mixing chamber and a blocking structure. The blocking structure is disposed in the mixing chamber and is connected between the two pneumatic micro-pumps. When the two pneumatic micro-pumps are started alternately, the blocking structure is deflected alone with the operation of the two pneumatic micro-pumps.

Flow cytometer and particle detection method
The present invention is to provide a flow cytometer comprising: flow cell; a liquid feeding unit for feeding a liquid different from a sample liquid containing sample particles to the flow cell; a sample liquid feeding unit for feeding the sample liquid to the flow cell after the liquid is sent to the flow cell; and a detector for detecting the sample particles flowing through the flow cell.
Sample introduction system with mixing
A sample introduction system provides mixing of a sample and a diluent within the container via gas injection. In one or more implementations, the sample introduction system causes a probe of an autosampler to be inserted into a container containing a sample and a diluent so that an end of the probe is submerged beneath a surface of the diluent and the sample. Gas is then injected through the probe to mix the sample and the diluent within the container. An aliquot of the mixed sample and diluent is then withdrawn through the probe.
