SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CHARACTERIZING, MONITORING, & DETECTING BIOAEROSOL PRESENCE & MOVEMENT IN AN INDOOR ENVIRONMENT

One variation of a method includes, during a calibration period: triggering collection of an initial bioaerosol sample by an air sampler located in an environment; and triggering dispensation of a tracer test load by a dispenser located in the environment; accessing a detected barcode level of a barcode detected in the initial bioaerosol sample; accessing a true barcode level of the barcode contained in the tracer test load; and deriving a calibration factor for the environment based on a difference between the detected barcode level and the true barcode level. The method further includes, during a live period succeeding the calibration period: triggering collection of a first bioaerosol sample by the air sampler; accessing a detected pathogen level of a pathogen detected in the first bioaerosol sample; and interpreting a predicted pathogen level of the pathogen in the environment based on the detected pathogen level and the calibration factor.

An analysis system includes one or a plurality of analysis devices and a fluid remaining amount management device. The one or plurality of analysis devices perform an analysis using fluid supplied from a gas cylinder that is used as a fluid source. The fluid remaining amount management device includes a scheduled usage amount estimator and a remaining amount shortage time determiner. The scheduled usage amount estimator estimates transition of a scheduled usage amount of fluid to be used later than a current point in time in the one or plurality of analysis devices. A remaining amount shortage time determiner determines a remaining amount shortage time when a shortage of a remaining amount of fluid in each gas cylinder occurs based on the estimated transition of the scheduled usage amount.

Photometric cuvette mapping

A computer-implemented method for performing photometric cuvette mapping includes detecting edges associated with a plurality of gaps between a plurality of vessels in a reaction ring during a complete rotation of a reaction ring. Each gap is determined according to an edge detection process which includes identifying: a vessel interior in response to detection of a first predetermined number of photometer device control manager (DCM) measurements below a threshold value; a rising edge in response to detection of a second predetermined number of photometer DCM measurements above the threshold value; and identifying a falling edge in response to detection of a third predetermined number of photometer DCM measurements below the threshold value. The edge detection process further includes recording the rising edge and the falling edge as being indicative of one of the plurality of gaps.
