SAMPLE TUBE AND METHOD
A sample tube includes a barcode split into components at the bottom of the sample tube. Each barcode component stores less than the full data output from the barcode, but the components combine to full data output. Redundant diagonal components provide for error checking. A center region between the barcode components supports an electrical circuit or an optical or acoustic window. The sample tube may have a sidewall with a substantially cylindrical open end and non-cylindrical end closed with a bottom, the non-cylindrical end orienting the sample tube in a rack. Additional non-cylindrical surfaces are provided to orient the sample tube relative to complementary surfaces at a gripper. The sample tube of a particular application is positioned in an acoustic dispensing system where acoustic waves are transmitted through a center window for surveying and dispensing.
AUTOMATIC ANALYZER
In an automatic analyzer in which required maintenance can be executed efficiently, without omission, an operation control unit controls operations of an analysis module (ISE, AU1, AU2) including a sample vessel transport mechanism, a reagent vessel transport mechanism, a reaction vessel transport mechanism, a sample dispensing mechanism, and a reagent dispensing mechanism, and of a display unit, and analyzes a sample accommodated in a reaction vessel. The operation control unit stores a validity period for each maintenance item of the analysis module (ISE, AU1, AU2) and an execution time for each maintenance item in a memory, displays an execution time together with an identification representation of execution priority level based on the expiration dates on the display unit, rearranges the display order of the maintenance items on the basis of the execution priority level, in accordance with an operator's instruction inputted through an operation input portion.
Testing system
A biological sample reaction vessel comprising a reagent storage portion and a push rod movable relative to the reagent storage portion is provided. The reagent storage portion comprises at least one reagent containing cavity, and the reagent containing cavity is sealed by a sealing element; and the push rod is connected to the sealing element, and the push rod is used for cooperation with an external test device to separate the sealing element from the reagent storage portion. In reaction, the biological sample reaction vessel cooperates with a test cassette. By inserting the biological sample reaction vessel into the external device, the reagent in the reagent storage portion can be released rapidly.
Methods and apparatus for multi-view characterization
A model-based method of classifying a specimen in a specimen container. The method includes capturing images of the specimen and container at multiple different exposures times, at multiple different spectra having different nominal wavelengths, and at different viewpoints by using multiple cameras. From the captured images, 2D data sets are generated. The 2D data sets are based upon selection of optimally-exposed pixels from the multiple different exposure images to generate optimally-exposed image data for each spectra. Based upon these 2D data sets, various components are classified using a multi-class classifier, such as serum or plasma portion, settled blood portion, gel separator (if present), tube, air, or label. From the classification data and 2D data sets, a 3D model can be generated. Specimen testing apparatus and quality check modules adapted to carry out the method are described, as are other aspects.
METHOD FOR DETECTING ACTIVITY OF THIOREDOXIN REDUCTASE, DETECTION DEVICE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention discloses a method for detecting activities of a thioredoxin reductase, a detection device and an operation method therefor. The detection method comprises: solution preparation: preparing a working solution, an inhibitor solution, and a mixed agent; sample addition: adding the working solution into a control reaction cup, adding the inhibitor solution into an experimental reaction cup, and respectively adding a sample into the control reaction cup and the experimental reaction cup; incubation: putting the control reaction cup and the experimental reaction cup in a dark environment to perform incubation at a predetermined temperature for a first predetermined time; and measurement: adding the mixed agent into the control reaction cup and the experimental reaction cup and measuring the absorbance value at a predetermined wavelength for a second predetermined time. Said detection method and the detection device can achieve fully automated detection of activities of the thioredoxin reductase, being fast and efficient, and saving time and effort.
