CELL PICKING DEVICE
A cell picking device includes a supporter that supports a rack having a plurality of holes for holding a plurality of pipette tips, a sucker used to suck a sample, a driver that moves the sucker in an up-and-down direction and moves the sucker and the supporter relative to each other in a horizontal direction, and a controller that controls the driver such that, any pipette tip out of the plurality of pipette tips held by the rack is attached to the sucker by movement of the sucker in the up-and-down direction and the sucker is moved to a position outwardly of the rack by movement of the sucker and the supporter relative to each other.
UNITIZED REAGENT STRIP
The embodiments disclosed herein relate to unitized reagent strips for holding and transporting reagents and materials used in automated sample preparation and/or processing for biological and or chemical assays.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF DISPOSABLE PIPETTE TIPS IN PIPETTE TIP CARRIERS
A method for determining the presence or absence of disposable pipette tips in pipette tip carriers on the work area of a laboratory workstation. Each of the pipette tip carriers has a support panel with receiving holes into each of which a disposable pipette tip can be inserted. The laboratory workstation for carrying out the method has a robot arm with at least one pipette which is designed to receive and dispose of disposable pipette tips. The laboratory workstation has a digital camera which is arranged on a support device and is operatively connected to an analyzing unit. The work area of the laboratory workstation can be completely imaged in at least one first direction using the digital camera.
Arrangement for Preparing a Plurality of Samples for an Analytical Method
The invention relates to an arrangement (10) for preparing a plurality of samples for an analytical method, comprising a carousel (14) with a solid housing (12) and moveable receiving parts (16) for the sample containers (18); a control for controlling the receiving parts (16) in the carousel (14); and a sample receiving device (24) for providing the sample to be analysed; one or more stations (24, 26, 28, 30, 32) for preparing samples are provided on the carousel (14), the receiving parts (16) for the sample containers (18) of the carousel (14) can be positioned on said stations; a centrifuge (22) with pairs of opposite lying receiving parts (42) provided for the sample containers (18), and said receiving parts (42) are arranged such that they can move on the centrifuge (22) and the movements can be controlled in such a manner that the sample holder (18) can be transferred between a receiving part (16) in the carousel (14) and a receiving part (42) in the centrifuge (22).
Systems and Methods for Automated Analysis
Aspects of the present disclosure include sample analysis methods and systems. According to certain embodiments, provided are methods of analyzing samples in an automated sample analysis system. The methods include introducing samples and sample preparation cartridges into the system, isolating and purifying an analyte (e.g., nucleic acids and/or proteins) present in the samples at a sample preparation station, and performing analyte detection assays in assay mixtures that include the purified analyte. Also provided are automated sample analysis systems that find use, e.g., in performing the methods of the present disclosure. In certain aspects, the methods and systems provide for continuous operator access during replenishment or removal of one or any combination of samples, bulk fluids, reagents, commodities, waste, and/or the like.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING SAMPLES
This application relates to a sample analyzing apparatus. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a base, a connector arranged at an end of the base, and a temperature controlling member mounted on the base and configured to adjust a temperature of the connector. The apparatus may also include a controller configured to adjust heat generation of the temperature controlling member to adjust a bonding force of a pipette tip attached to a surface of the connector.
HTP genomic engineering platform
The present disclosure provides a HTP microbial genomic engineering platform that is computationally driven and integrates molecular biology, automation, and advanced machine learning protocols. This integrative platform utilizes a suite of HTP molecular tool sets to create HTP genetic design libraries, which are derived from, inter alia, scientific insight and iterative pattern recognition. The HTP genomic engineering platform described herein is microbial strain host agnostic and therefore can be implemented across taxa. Furthermore, the disclosed platform can be implemented to modulate or improve any microbial host parameter of interest.
AUTOMATED IMMUNOASSAY
An instrument for detecting signal from a biological sample includes a pipettor module configured to hold a plurality of pipettes in respective pipette positions, to hold liquid in one or more pipette tips, and to pipette liquid in and out of the one or more pipette tips. Each of the one or more pipette tips has a pipette tip point. The instrument further includes one or more magnets positioned such that each of the one or more pipette tips is adjacent one of the one or more magnets.
Method for the automated classification of a liquid as well as method for the automated adaption of presettings for a capacitive liquid level measurement
A device which has a deliverable sensor, a container for receiving a liquid, a container environment and a signal processing circuit, the input side of which can be connected circuitry-wise to the sensor. The device is designed to perform a capacitive liquid level measurement in normal operation using the sensor, wherein a threshold value can be predefined for the signal processing circuit for normal operation. The device has a classification module which can be connected with an input side or line connection circuitry-wise to the sensor, is designed to make a capacitive measurement of the liquid in the container using the sensor and can be connected circuitry-wise to the signal processing circuit in order to trigger the specification of a threshold value using the sensor for capacitive measurement of the liquid.
