SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PIPETTE ROBOTS
Systems and methods applicable, for instance, to pipette robots. A pipette robot can perform one or more operations regarding deck calibration, one or more operations regarding pipette tip/probe calibration, one or more operations regarding pipette tip pick up, and/or one or more operations regarding tip ejection.
ROBOTIC BARCODE TAGGING OF DISTINCT CELL POPULATIONS IN INTACT TISSUE
A system for injecting a substance into one or more cells of a cell population in a tissue sample, comprising: a robotic manipulator apparatus configured to hold and position a micropipette; an injector controller; a robotic apparatus configured to manipulate a focal plane of a microscope; and a computing device configured to, for each respective cell of the one or more cells of the tissue sample: determine a 3-dimensional location of the respective cell based on images formed by the microscope and captured by a microscope camera; control the robotic manipulator apparatus to insert the micropipette into the respective cell; and control injector controller to eject the substance out of the micropipette and into the respective cell.
AUTOMATIC ANALYZER
An automatic analyzer dispenses each specimen and reagent in a reaction vessel so as to make the specimen and the reagent react with each other and measures a liquid obtained by the reaction. The automatic analyzer includes a plurality of dispensing mechanisms; a controller which controls the plurality of dispensing mechanisms; a normal cleaning tank dedicated to each of the dispensing mechanisms, which is provided at a position where only one of the plurality of dispensing mechanisms accesses, and performs normal cleaning with respect to the dispensing mechanism that has accessed; and a special cleaning tank shared by each of the dispensing mechanisms, which is provided at a position where all of the plurality of dispensing mechanisms access, and performs cleaning different from the normal cleaning with respect to the dispensing mechanism that has accessed.
Dispenser platforms
In one example, a dispenser platform can include an enclosure that includes a first actuator to move a support in a first plane, wherein a portion of the support extends outside the enclosure, and a second actuator coupled to the portion of the support that extends outside the enclosure to move a stage coupled to the support in a second plane.
Pipetting apparatus with a pipette tube and method for detecting a liquid within an intermediate section of a pipette tube
A pipetting apparatus and method capable of detecting a liquid within an intermediate section of a pipette tube of the pipetting apparatus. The intermediate section is located between an upper section of the pipette tube at which a first electrode is arranged and a lower section at which a second electrode is arranged. The first and second electrodes form a measurement capacitor and are operationally connected to an impedance measurement unit, which is adapted to detect whether liquid, such as a portion of a sample liquid or system liquid, is present within the intermediate section based on the measured impedance or change of impedance, e.g. an increase of the capacitance and/or a decrease of the resistance, of the measurement capacitor caused by a presence of the liquid within the intermediate section.
Digital dispense system
A digital dispense system and methods for preparing samples for analysis. The digital dispense system includes a fluid droplet ejection system housed in a housing unit. The fluid droplet ejection system contains a fluid droplet ejection head and fluid cartridge containing one or more fluids to be dispensed. A cartridge translation mechanism is provided for moving the fluid droplet ejection head and fluid cartridge back and forth over a sample holder in an x direction. A sample tray translation mechanism moves a sample tray back and forth beneath the fluid droplet ejection head and fluid cartridge in a y direction orthogonal to the x direction.
Automatic analyzer and method for carrying out chemical, biochemical, and/or immunochemical analyses
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method and/or a device for carrying out chemical, biochemical and/or immunochemical analyses of liquid samples, which are present in a sample store of an automatic analyzer, with the aid of liquid reagents which are present in at least one reagent store of the analyzer. In one example embodiment, the automatic analyzer includes cuvettes, a first pipettor, a device with an optical measurement unit, a device for heterogenous immunoassays, a cuvette washing unit, a needle washing unit, a temperature control unit.
Spinning vessel systems and methods for mixing, suspending particulates, aliquoting, washing magnetic beads, and concentrating analytes
Provided herein are apparatuses and systems for mixing liquids and suspensions that include vessels with structures that improve mixing while not contacting liquid delivery components. The apparatuses and systems can include a motor drive that allows speed and directional control of rotation of the vessel. The apparatuses and systems can include one or more magnets for separating magnetic beads in a suspension. Also provided are methods using said apparatuses and systems for mixing and separation processes.
Chemical analyzer
A medical apparatus for analyzing fluid samples includes an outer casing, a slide loading mechanism disposed within the outer casing for loading fluid analysis slides, a slide ejecting mechanism disposed within the outer casing for ejecting fluid analysis slides, an evaporation cap opening mechanism disposed within the outer casing for opening an evaporation cap, an evaporation cap closing mechanism disposed within the outer casing for closing an evaporation cap, a drawer locking mechanism disposed within the outer casing for locking a drawer associated with the outer casing, a camera disposed within the outer casing, and a robot disposed within the outer casing. The robot is movable in three dimensions and has means for conducting three or more of the following operations: slide loading; slide ejecting; evaporation cap opening; evaporation cap closing; drawer locking; and camera manipulation.
Autosampler sample and sample rack identification
A sample identification system for an automated sampling device is described. A system embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a sample holder having a plurality of apertures configured to receive a plurality of sample vessels therein, the sample holder having one or more corresponding sample holder identifiers positioned proximate to the sample holder; and an identifier capture device configured to detect the one or more sample holder identifiers positioned proximate to the sample holder and generate a data signal in response thereto, the data signal corresponding to at least an orientation of the sample holder relative to a surface on which the sample holder is positioned.
