Short-wave infrared sensor for identifying based on water content
An optical system operating in the near or short-wave infrared wavelength range identifies an object based on water absorption. The system comprises a light source with modulated light emitting diodes operating at wavelengths near 1090 and 1440 nanometers, corresponding to lower and higher water absorption. The system further comprises one or more wavelength selective filters and a housing that is further coupled to an electrical circuit and a processor. The detection system comprises photodetectors that are synchronized to the light source, and the detection system receives at least a portion of light reflected from the object. The system is configured to identify the object by comparing the reflected light at the first and second wavelength to generate an output value, and then comparing the output value to a threshold. The optical system may be further coupled to a wearable device or a remote sensing system with a time-of-flight sensor.

The apparatus (1) for agricultural crop analysis, comprises: a light source (2) for sending light radiation towards a crop; a plurality of sensors (21) for acquiring light radiation reflected by the crop and a plurality of filtering elements (22) adapted to enable complete passage only of light having frequencies within a predetermined passband.
The filtering elements (22) have passbands that differ from each other and each filtering element (22) is functionally coupled with a respective sensor (21) in such a manner that the latter receives only light radiation that has traversed the former.
Identifying a pathway for condition of assembly validation
A method and apparatus for establishing a pathway for performing an automated validation of a condition of assembly. A sensor system coupled to an automated guided vehicle is moved into test positions relative to the structure. Image data is generated at each test position, using the sensor system, to build test images. Each test image is registered to a computer model of the structure to form registered images that are added to a collection of registered images. An optimal set of positions that will allow an entirety of an area of interest to be captured using a fewest number of registered images from the collection of registered images is determined. A pathway is generated for moving the automated guided vehicle to each optimal position in a least amount of time. A computer file identifying the pathway is generated for use in performing the automated validation of the condition of assembly.
Inspection system for inspecting an internal component of a machine
An inspection system for inspecting an internal component of a machine includes a remote controlled vehicle constructed to fit inside a desired portion of the machine; a controller operative to control an operation of the remote controlled vehicle; a tether coupled to the controller and to the remote controlled vehicle, wherein the tether is operative to transmit control signals from the controller to the remote controlled vehicle; and an imaging device extending from a front portion of the remote controlled vehicle and operative to view the internal component. The imaging device has a flexible articulating tip spaced apart from the front portion of the body.

SUBMERSIBLE INSPECTION SYSTEM
A submersible inspection system for inspection of liquid cooled electrical transformers having a wirelessly controlled submersible inspective device. A submersion depth of the submersible can be controlled using a ballast system. The system can also include an input/output selector to switch between camera images from the submersible. A heartbeat signal indicative of a health of the transmitted signal can be transmitted to the submersible, and redundant channel selection logic can facilitate switching to a channel that includes a current heartbeat. A plurality of status interrogation systems disposed on the submersible can capture data regarding inspection procedures performed on the transformer, and the submersible can include tools for repair procedures. Data transmitted from the submersible, and overlayed with input data from an operator, can facilitate real time inspection analysis. The system can also form a model of an internal in the transformer, as well as produce a three-dimensional field of view.
