Gas meter and associated methods

A device which: optically detects the presence of, measures the flow rate of, and identifies the characteristics of venting fugitive gas emissions. Specifically the device provides a spectral analysis of emission gas constituents; selective detection of the presence of venting hydrocarbons; measurement of venting emissions flow rates, the measurement of shut-in and flowing venting system pressures and the venting system temperatures. The flow rates are corrected, relative to the detection of the gas constituents and standard temperature and pressure (STP). These devices are configured to collect such data electronically and transmit via various telemetry systems, to a secure remote data network for reporting, access, evaluation, real-time monitoring and archiving as required.

TEST DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TESTING THE RETROREFLECTION AND/OR FLUORESCENCE OF AN OBJECT
20220349822 · 2022-11-03 ·

A hand-held test device and a method for testing an object having at least one retrore-flective region and at least one fluorescent region, e.g. an item of high-visibility clothing. The hand-held test device includes a white light LED, a UV LED, a connnon photoreceiver, and a control unit. In a reflection test mode, a reflective region is briefly irradiated with white light and reflects onto the photoreceiver. In at least one fluorescence test mode, ultraviolet light is emitted by the onto a fluorescent region, which generates fluorescent light of a corresponding colour via the fluorescence, which is received by the photoreceiver. In all test modes, a receive sig corresponding with the irradiation strength is generated at the photoreceiver and transmitted to the control unit for evaluation, e.g. for carrying out a threshold value comparison with a predefined threshold value for the receive signal. Every test mode can preferably have a separate predefined threshold value for this purpose.

AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SPECTROSCOPIC ANALYSIS

Wearable spectroscopy systems and methods for identifying one or more characteristics of a target object are described. Spectroscopy systems may include a light source configured to emit light in an irradiated field of view and an electromagnetic radiation detector configured to receive reflected light from a target object irradiated by the light source. One or more processors of the systems may identify a characteristic of the target object based on a determined level of light absorption by the target object. Some systems and methods may include one or more corrections for scattered and/or ambient light such as applying an ambient light correction, passing the reflected light through an anti-scatter grid, or using a time-dependent variation in the emitted light.

A portable incubator system integrated to a mobile phone providing a real-time tracking of samples and data flow is provided. The portable incubator system allowing cells to be cultured, reproduced and characterized in real-time without a need for a commercial incubator and a microscope-camera system installed within the portable incubator system.

Spectrometry system with visible aiming beam

A handheld spectrometer can be configured with a visible aiming beam to allow the user to determine the measured region of the object. When the visible aiming beam comprises the spectrometer measurement beam, the spectrometer measurement beam comprises sufficient energy for the user to see the measurement beam illuminating the object. When the visible aiming beam comprises a separate beam, the visible aiming beam comprises sufficient energy for the user to see a portion of the aiming beam reflected from the object. The visible aiming beam and measurement beam can be arranged to at least partially overlap on the sample, such that the user has an indication of the area of the sample being measured.

Portable Visual Inspection Apparatus And Method for Inspecting Article

A portable visual inspection apparatus comprises a box including a lower box portion and an upper box portion. The upper box portion defines a first accommodation space and is connected to the lower box portion such that is capable of being opened and closed. A visual inspection device is installed in the first accommodation space and is adapted to be switched between an expanded configuration in which the visual inspection device is at least partially expanded for photographing an image of an article, and a folded configuration in which the visual inspection device is at least partially folded for storage in the first accommodation space. A support platform is arranged in the lower box portion and defines an inspection area below the visual inspection device in the expanded configuration. The portable visual inspection apparatus is switchable between a use configuration and a transportation configuration.
