Dishwashing appliance having a multi-zone drying assembly

A dishwashing appliance, as provided herein, may include a cabinet, a tub, a pump, a spray assembly, a first fluid path, and a second fluid path. The first fluid path may extend from a first path inlet to a first path outlet to recirculate air within a wash chamber. The first path inlet may be defined in fluid communication between the wash chamber and the first path outlet. The second fluid path may extend from a second path inlet to a second path outlet to direct ambient air to the wash chamber. The second path inlet may be defined in fluid communication between an ambient environment surrounding the dishwashing appliance and the second path outlet. The second path outlet may be defined in fluid communication between the second path inlet and the wash chamber downstream from the second path inlet.

DISH DRYING SYSTEM WITH ADSORBENT MATERIAL REGENERATION

A dishwasher includes a housing having walls defining a tub having an outlet and inlet for humid air to flow out from and into the tub, respectively. A drying system contacts at least one wall of the tub. The drying system includes an inlet conduit fluidly connected to the outlet and an outlet conduit fluidly connected to the inlet with the inlet conduit and the outlet conduit forming an inverted V-shaped air circuit defining an airflow path therethrough. The drying system also includes at least one adsorbent component having an adsorbent material positioned along the airflow path, and at least one gate check valve blocking airflow from the tub to the adsorbent material during a wash cycle. The adsorbent material is regenerated via heat transfer through the at least one wall from the tub during a wash cycle when the gate check valve is closed.

DOS air barrier with door condensation

A dishwasher system for cleaning dishes may include a dishwasher tub configured to house dishes therein and run a dishwasher cycle, a door assembly configured to selectively seal the dishwasher tub, the door assembly including an inlet nozzle arranged on the inside of the door assembly, the inlet nozzle extending across the width of the door at the top of the door assembly to receive hot and moist air post wash from the dishwasher tub, and a duct fluidly connected to the inlet nozzle and configured to transfer the air through the door assembly and out an outlet nozzle during a drying phase of the dishwasher cycle prior to the door assembly being opened post-cycle.

DISHWASHER

A dishwasher includes a tub, a door, and a drying device configured to supply air to a washing space in the tub. The drying device includes a condensing duct disposed outside the tub, a cold air supply module that is disposed outside the tub and defines a heat exchange flow path part adjoining the condensing duct, and a fan configured to cause air flow in the condensing duct. The condensing duct includes an upstream portion communicating with the inlet port and extending above the inlet port and then downward, and a heat exchange portion connected to the upstream portion and extending downward to the heat exchange flow path part. A height of an upper end of the heat exchange flow path part is equal to or larger than a height of a lower end of the inlet port.

DISHWASHER

A dishwasher includes a tub, a door, and a drying device configured to supply air to a washing space in the tub. The drying device includes a drying duct that is disposed outside the tub and includes a condensing duct and a return duct, a fan configured to cause a flow of air in the drying duct, and a heater configured to heat the air in the drying duct. The condensing duct includes a first condensing duct connected to an inlet port configured to receive moist air from the washing space, and a second condensing duct disposed vertically below a bottom portion of the tub and connected to the first condensing duct. The return duct includes a return upstream end connected to the second condensing duct and a return downstream end connected to an outlet port configured to supply air to the tub.

DISHWASHER

A dishwasher includes a tub, a door, and a drying device disposed outside the tub. The drying device includes a condensing duct that faces an outer surface of the tub, that is in fluid communication with an inlet port defined at the tub, and that extends in a vertical direction and a first direction intersecting the vertical direction, and a fan configured to cause a flow of air in the condensing duct. The condensing duct includes an upstream portion in fluid communication with the inlet port, a downstream portion that is in fluid communication with the upstream portion and includes a bent portion disposed below the upstream portion, and a rib that is disposed inside the bent portion and extends across the bent portion, where the rib protrudes in a second direction that intersects the vertical direction and the first direction.
