The heating element may be mounted within the cabinet in thermal communication with the wash chamber. The controller may be configured to initiate a dry cycle. The dry cycle may include moving the door from the closed position, determining the door is in the preset open-vent position following moving the door from the closed position, and activating the heating element to generate heat within the wash chamber following moving the door from the closed position.

A dishwashing appliance, as provided herein, may include a cabinet, a tub, a water tank, a wet air duct, a dry air duct, a water supply conduit, a diverter valve, and a diverted branch. The tub may be housed within the cabinet and may define a wash chamber. The water tank may be mounted within the cabinet outside of the wash chamber. The wet air duct may extend from the wash chamber to the water tank. The dry air duct may extend from the water tank to the wash chamber. The water supply conduit may extend to the wash chamber. The diverter valve may be disposed along the water supply conduit upstream from the wash chamber. The diverted branch may extend from the diverter valve to the water tank to selectively guide water from the water supply conduit to the water tank.

A controller is connected to control a position of the damper, the controller configured to adjust a position of the damper based upon input from at least a first temperature sensor, wherein the first temperature sensor is located at one of (i) the ware inlet, (ii) the ware outlet or (iii) along the vent path. Methods of operating a warewash machine are also provided.

The present device comprises: a main body having a washing tub provided therein; a door rotatably coupled to the main body so as to open and close the washing tub; a blowing duct having a passage provided between the outside of the washing tub and the inside of the main body so as to provide a flow path through which the air flowing from the outside flows, and a discharge port provided at the passage so as to spray air to the outside; and a blowing means connected to the blowing duct so as to provide the external air into the blowing duct, and forcibly causing wet steam in the washing tub to flow to the front of the main body, wherein the passage has at least one variable section for changing the cross sectional area thereof.
