DISH WASHING MACHINE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME

A dish washing machine includes a door, a main body in which a washing tub for opening and closing the front opening of the door is provided, and a basket configured to be installed in the washing tub to be able to move in and out of the washing tub and to contain dishes. A sensing unit is configured to sense a basket identifier and a door identifier. A driving unit is configured to drive a vane. A controller is configured to control the driving unit such that cleaning is performed for each dish storage area of the basket based on the sensed result of a sensing unit. The controller determines the area where the dishes are laid, and controls the driving unit to clean the dish storage area where the dishes are laid.

DISH RACK AND WARE WASHING SYSTEM FOR REUSABLE PLASTIC WARES

A dish rack for cleaning reusable plastic dishware can include a bottom support wall, a sidewall defining an outer frame, and a cover positionable over the bottom support wall. In some examples, the dish rack includes spaced-apart prongs extending upwardly from the bottom support wall. In use, an operator can load reusable plastic dishware on or between the prongs of the dish rack and close the cover. This can enclose the reusable plastic in a space bounded between the bottom support wall, the sidewall defining the frame, and the cover. Once loaded, the operator can insert the dishrack into the dishwasher to clean the reusable plastic dishware while retained in the dish rack. The dish rack can allow the reusable plastic dishware to be properly cleaned while minimizing or eliminating problems associated with the comparatively light reusable plastic dishware moving in response to high pressure water within the dishwasher.

A rack mounting assembly for supporting an upper rack assembly within a tub of a dishwasher appliance is provided. The tub defines an alignment feature and a screw hole. The rack mounting assembly includes a mounting body defining a mounting boss and a complementary feature configured for engaging the alignment feature of the tub when the mounting body is properly aligned. When the mounting body is properly aligned, the mounting boss is substantially aligned with a screw hole in the tub such that a screw can pass through the mounting boss and into the screw hole to secure the mounting body to the tub.

A containment basket adapted for bottles or similar containers includes: sidewalls, a base including grids or slots, an open side opposite to the base, and a fastening system on opposite first sidewalls of the basket; for securing fixed grids parallel to the base of the basket. The fixed grids include apertures for housing the bottles. Lateral guides on opposite second sidewalls of the basket are adapted for housing a lever system for positioning a sliding grid parallel to the fixed grids in a height-adjustable position. The sliding grid includes apertures suitable for housing the bottles. First windows on the second sidewalls are adapted to cooperate with the lever system to allow the height-adjustable positioning of the sliding grid and to allow the sliding grid to slide between a first bottle retaining position and a second bottle releasing position.

The utensil holder may include a clamping portion adapted to engage an article to be cleaned, and the nozzle may be located in proximity of the clamping portion. The utensil holder may include a valve means which provides for fluid communication between the tubing and the nozzle in the operating position, and which may block the fluid communication between the tubing and the nozzle in the resting position.

The pump may be configured to deliver a wash fluid into the wash chamber. The spray assembly may be housed within the wash chamber of the tub in fluid communication with the pump to receive wash fluid therefrom. The static jet assembly may be disposed within the wash chamber and include a static body. The static body may extend about an exterior hole. The static body may define an interior passage and a jet aperture in fluid communication with the pump. The jet aperture may be defined in fluid communication between the interior passage and the wash chamber.
