The top rack is formed of wire thereby to hold washware including cutlery and to enhance drying performance. The spacing between an inner surface of a top wall of the dishwashing compartment and an upper surface of a deepest portion of the top rack is in a range of 79.0 mm to 83.0 mm. The top rack is formed with a notch section along at least one side in a bottom portion thereof, and include an angled portion to hold bowls at a slight tilt with respect to horizontal.

The present invention relates to a dishwasher, especially a domestic dishwasher, comprising a body, a washing chamber provided in the body wherein the washing is realized, at least one rack which is located in the washing chamber for loading dishes to be washed and at least one spray arm which rotates around itself and provides water into the washing chamber for washing the dishes. The dishwasher, especially the domestic dishwasher, comprises furthermore a checking mechanism which is configured to translate the sliding movement of the at least one rack into rotation of the at least one spray arm.

A dishwasher having a treating chamber with one or more sprayers through which liquid is recirculated into the treating chamber, whereby the impact of the spray emitted from the sprayers impacts the structure forming the treating chamber to generate noise. Damping material is applied to structure forming the treating chamber to reduce the sound level of the impact exterior of the dishwasher.

A dishwasher includes a drinkware spray container capable of directing a spray of fluid against one or more drinkware articles retained by the spray container. The drinkware spray container may be configured as a cup tree including a vertical member or trunk and a plurality of branches that extend from the trunk and support a drinkware article, with nozzles disposed on the branches to direct a spray of fluid into the supported drinkware articles. The drinkware spray container may also be configured as a drinkware basket including a container body defining one or more compartments along with one or more spray members capable of directing a spray of fluid onto interior surfaces of drinkware article retained within the container body.
