Example embodiments provide a dishwasher comprising a tub; a door configured for selectively sealing a forward access opening of the tub; a detergent dispenser located at an inner surface of the door; a spray arm mounted within the tub such that the spray arm is adjustable between a first height and a second height, the spray arm comprising a spray detergent nozzle; and a circulation pump configured to supply washing liquid to the spray arm. The dishwasher is characterized in that the spray arm is configured to emit a fan-shaped jet from the spray detergent nozzle when the washing liquid is supplied to the spray arm and the spray arm is configured to emit the fan-shaped jet that is incident upon the detergent dispenser both when the spray arm is positioned at the first height and when the spray arm is positioned at the second height.

A method and apparatus of a docking port arrangement for an adjustable dispensing device. The dispensing device may discharge a fluid and/or gas into the wash chamber. The dispensing device may be retracted into the wash chamber and extended out of the wash chamber. A gasket or portions thereof may be used for sealing and/or as an abutting structure during retraction into the wash chamber. The dispensing device may be, but is not limited to, a rotating spray arm. Two check valves may pivot together relative to a check valve plate.

An adjustable conduit and docking assembly for use in a dishwasher appliance is provided. The adjustable conduit and docking assembly includes a conduit configured for receiving a docking station at different heights so as to accommodate a height adjustment of a rack assembly to which the conduit is attached. The conduit and docking assembly includes a multiport docking station to provide this functionality.

A lower rack for a domestic dishwasher is constructed for being liftable and includes a fixed lower rack element, and a removable lower rack element connectable to the fixed lower rack element and constructed for removal from the fixed lower rack element to thereby unblock access to a bottom area of a washing container of the domestic dishwasher.

A dishwasher and method for operating the same utilize a docking arrangement for an elevation-adjustable rack. In some instances, a docking arrangement may include one or more rotatable docking ports to rotate a rotatable conduit supported on the rack, and in some instances, a docking arrangement may include a valve body disposed within a docking port and movable between open and closed positions in a direction generally parallel to an axis of insertion of a conduit into a docking port in response to rotation of a drive.

A dishwasher includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, at least one dish rack in the treating chamber, and a rack height adjustment assembly. The rack height adjustment assembly includes an adjuster plate slidably coupled to the at least one dish rack and fixed vertically relative to the tub, the adjuster plate including at least one adjuster detent, a locking lever having a catch end that is biased to engage the adjuster detent to hold the dish rack in place in either a lowered or raised position, the locking lever being pivotally movable relative to the at least one dish rack between an engaging position where the catch end engages the adjuster detent and a release position where the catch end does not engage the adjuster detent and the dish rack is vertically movable between the lowered and raised positions, and an actuator configured to move the locking lever to the release position when the actuator is moved from an undepressed position to a depressed position.

A bracket is disclosed that may be configured to hold a rack of a dishwasher against a wall of a washing chamber of the dishwasher. The bracket may include a first bracket member comprising a first fastening element configured to fasten the first bracket member to a first mounting portion of the rack. The bracket may further include a second bracket member slidably arranged to the first bracket member along a first direction. The second bracket member may include a second fastening element configured to fasten the second bracket member to a second mounting portion of the rack upon a sliding movement of the second bracket member in the first direction. The present disclosure further relates to a rack comprising a bracket and a dishwasher comprising a rack.

A modular washware rack for a dishwasher, including an open frame having an upper level support structure that is configured to accept at least one basket insert from above and support the at least one basket insert at an upper level, the open frame having a lower level support structure, the at least one basket insert being adjustable in height by lifting and removing the at least one basket insert from the upper level support structure of the open frame and then sliding the at least one basket insert along the lower level support structure to support the at least one basket at a lower level.

A dishwasher has an interior with a tub and a dish rack slidably attached to the tub. The dish rack has vertically-oriented side rail and a height adjustment system. The adjustment system includes height adjustment mechanisms alongside the walls of the dish rack for vertically shifting the dish rack between lowered and raised positions relative to the tub. Each of the adjustment mechanisms includes an adjuster arm fixed vertically relative to the tub, with a locking boss at the first end, and a locking clip on the adjuster arm having at least one locking tab adapted to couple with the locking boss to prevent the rack from shifting vertically relative to the adjuster arm. The locking clip has a pair of interference ribs engaging a pair of side rails to prevent rotational movement of the rack with respect to the dishwasher.

Adjustable rack assemblies and end caps for appliances, such as a dishwasher appliance, is provided herein. A rack assembly may include a frame, a rack, a first front wheel, a second front wheel, and an end cap. The rack may be selectively mounted to the frame to receive articles for washing within a wash chamber, and may be slidable along the frame between an extended position and a retracted position. The first front wheel may be rotatably attached to the rack above the frame. The second front wheel may be rotatably attached to the rack below the first front wheel in vertical alignment therewith. The end cap may be attached to the frame at a forward end thereof. The end cap may define a top-end catch profile and a bottom-end relief profile.
