A dishwasher with a tub that at least partially defines a treating chamber with an access opening, a closure moveable relative to the tub to selectively open and close the access opening, a lower dish holder located within the treating chamber, a middle dish holder located within the treating chamber above the lower dish holder, and an upper dish holder located within the treating chamber above the middle dish holder and having container supports defining a support surface.

A dishwasher including a dish rack having a wire frame rack defining an interior and comprising a plurality of spaced wire frame elements defining a dish supporting surface forming at least a portion of the interior, and a bumper having a body and an elastic surface. The bumper can span at least two of the wire frame elements.

A shock absorber and a dishwasher including the same are disclosed. The dishwasher includes a tub having a dish introduction port formed in a front surface thereof, a door for opening and closing the dish introduction port and a rack having moving casters so as to be drawn out of and introduced into the tub, dishes being placed on the rack, and the shock absorber is disposed between the tub of the dishwasher and the rack and includes a body, a receiving groove formed in one side surface of the body so as to receive a portion of the rack, and a pressing portion provided on a remaining surface of the body so as to press and support a portion of the tub to thus press the body downwards.

A modular washware rack for a dishwasher, including an open frame having an upper level support structure that is configured to accept at least one basket insert from above and support the at least one basket insert at an upper level, the open frame having a lower level support structure, the at least one basket insert being adjustable in height by lifting and removing the at least one basket insert from the upper level support structure of the open frame and then sliding the at least one basket insert along the lower level support structure to support the at least one basket at a lower level.

A dishware supporting arrangement is provided that may include a mesh structure and a tilting mechanism. The mesh structure may include a structure main extension plane and may include a first plurality of ribs connected to a second plurality of ribs. The first plurality of ribs may extend along a first plane at a first angle and the second plurality of ribs may extend along a second plane at a second angle. The tilting mechanism may allow the mesh structure to be titled around at least one axis between a first position and a second position and may hold the mesh structure in the first position and in the second position. An apparatus and method of using a strap assembly for retaining at least one article to a dishwasher rack. The strap assembly may include a spherical member on each of the opposing ends of a resilient member. One or more of the strap assemblies may be positioned in a variety of orientations with the dishwasher rack to contact one or more articles.

A dishwasher and silverware basket therefor include an interior sprayer integrated into the silverware basket and capable of directing a spray of fluid within one or more compartments of the silverware basket to assist in cleaning utensils such as silverware, cutlery, etc. housed within the silverware basket.
