The present invention relates to a dishwasher, especially a domestic dishwasher, comprising a body, a washing chamber provided in the body wherein the washing is realized, at least one rack which is located in the washing chamber for loading dishes to be washed and at least one spray arm which rotates around itself and provides water into the washing chamber for washing the dishes. The dishwasher, especially the domestic dishwasher, comprises furthermore a checking mechanism which is configured to translate the sliding movement of the at least one rack into rotation of the at least one spray arm.

A dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation, the dishwasher comprising a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a dish rack received within the treating chamber and configured for receiving dishes for treatment during the cycle of operation, a sprayer located within the treating chamber and above the dish rack, and emitting a liquid onto the dish rack to form a high-speed spray.

Dishwasher with multi-level dishwasher rack

A dishwasher may utilize a multi-level dishwasher rack that in some instances may be reconfigurable into different configurations to optimize the rack for different types and/or combinations of utensils. A movable divider may be used in some instances to selectively expose a deep portion of a rack, and a drawer may be used in some instances to provide access utensils stored underneath a divider. A movable portion of a bottom of a rack may also be used in some instances to provide different support surfaces in the rack at different elevations. A tubular spray element or another rotatable spray tube may also be positioned relative to a multi-level dishwasher rack in some instances to facilitate concentrated washing of different facing surfaces of different utensils stored in the rack.

Retracting dishwasher rack system

A retracting rack for an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. The rack may be positionable between a stowed position and a deployed position. A spring may drive the rack towards the stowed position. A locking mechanism may be used to secure the rack in one or more positions. A release mechanism and/or a reset mechanism may be used to control the retracting cycle of the rack.

Configurable lower rack for dishwasher

A washware rack assembly including: a basket formed by a plurality of wire-shaped elements, the plurality of wire-shaped elements including a bottom portion and a side wall portion; and a plurality of removable, preformed rows of tines configured to mount to the basket. The plurality of removable, preformed rows of tines include tines having a first, fixed spacing and tines having a second, fixed spacing which is different than the first, fixed spacing. A pair of the removable, preformed rows of tines having the first, fixed spacing is disposed in parallel in one section of the basket, and a pair of the removable, preformed rows of tines having the second, fixed spacing is disposed in parallel in another section of the basket, such that the washware rack assembly is configured to accommodate washware of different sizes in different sections of the basket.

UNIVERSAL BRACKET FOR SUPPORTING RACKS IN A DISHWASHER APPLIANCE

A dishwasher appliance includes two or more universal rack brackets. The universal rack brackets include a body, a stud on a first end of the body, and a snap fit securing element between the first and second ends of the body forming a protrusion from the body. A rail attachment element has two elongated slots that align with the studs of the universal rack brackets to slidably engage. The rail attachment element further includes a snap fit tab aligned such that sliding the rail attachment element to engage the studs of the universal rack brackets causes the snap fit tab to pass over the snap fit securing element and prevent return movement.

The basket includes a basket body, an upper holder frame including one end supporting a portion of the dish and the other end rotatably coupled to the basket body, and a lower holder frame including one end supporting the other portion of the dish supported by the upper holder frame, and the other end rotatably coupled to the basket body. A distance between one end of the upper holder frame and one end of the lower holder frame is adjusted as one of the upper holder frame and the lower holder frame is rotated.
