A dishwasher includes: a tub defining a washing space, a sump disposed at a lower portion of the washing space and configured receive water, a plurality of nozzles disposed at the washing space and configured to spray the water received in the sump toward an object in an upward direction, and a wash water guide configured to supply the water in the sump to each of the plurality of nozzles and disposed at the washing space. The wash water guide includes a main wash water guide, a plurality of sub wash water guides respectively branched from the main wash water guide, and a plurality of connection parts connecting the main wash water guide to the plurality of sub wash water guides, and an angle between at least one connection part of the plurality of connection parts and the main wash water guide is an acute angle.

A carrier for one or more straws of an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. The carrier and/or rack may be in fluid communication with one or more spray elements when in a stowed position within a dishwasher tub. The one or more carriers may route fluid from the one or more spray elements to wash an interior and/or an exterior of at least one straw. The carrier may include one or more bridges projecting inwardly towards the one or more straws defining one or more pathways for received fluid. The body of the carrier may include a lid and/or latch. The carrier may be adjustable to engage one or more straws of varying lengths. The carrier may include an adjustable end and a fixed end. The carrier may include a biasing mechanism.

A carrier for one or more straws of an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. The carrier and/or rack may be in fluid communication with one or more spray elements when in a stowed position within a dishwasher tub. The one or more carriers may route fluid from the one or more spray elements to wash an interior and/or an exterior of at least one straw. Provided is a dishwasher having an improved structure capable of selecting whether to spray wash water. The dishwasher includes a washing tub, a basket provided in the washing tub to accommodate dishware, a duct provided in the washing tub to be supplied with wash water, a sub-duct mounted on the basket to guide the wash water, a connection pipe connected to the sub-duct, and a spray nozzle coupled to the connection pipe to be rotatable from a first position where the connection pipe is open and a second position where the connection pipe is closed.

A spray assembly may include a water supply conduit, a main spray arm, and a satellite spray arm. The main spray arm may be rotatably coupled to the water supply conduit to rotate about a first axis, and a satellite spray arm may be rotatably coupled to the main spray arm to rotate about a second axis. The satellite may define at least one nozzle and at least one fluid channel extending from the second axis to the at least one nozzle. The at least one fluid channel of the satellite spray arm may define an arcuate shape having a portion proximate the second axis disposed at a first distance relative to the base parallel to the second axis, and the at least one nozzle being disposed a second distance relative to the base parallel to the second axis. The second distance may be shorter than the first distance.

A dishwasher is disclosed that may include a washing chamber and a detergent compartment. The detergent compartment may include an opening facing the washing chamber. The dishwasher may further include two or more static nozzle openings arranged in the washing chamber. Each of the two or more static nozzle openings may be configured to spray water into the detergent compartment, via the opening, during operation of the dishwasher.

A dishwasher and method therefor utilize a slip ring alignment arrangement to facilitate control over a rotational position of a rack-mounted tubular spray element or other rotatable conduit that is capable of being decoupled from a rotational drive.

A water feed tube assembly for a dishwasher with a water feed tube having one or more inlets and outlets and front, back, and side walls. At least one outlet is positioned on the front wall of the water feed tube. The water feed tube includes a manifold docking retainer that is integral with the water feed tube at a position adjacent to the outlet. The manifold docking retainer includes first and second ears that are positioned on and extend integrally from the side walls of the water feed tube such that the first and second ears of the manifold docking retainer are configured to receive first and second docking arms of a spray arm manifold. The manifold docking retainer includes first and second knobs that are positioned on and extend integrally from the front wall of the water feed tube to mate with the spray arm manifold.

A dishwasher assembly may include a dishwasher rack including at least one drinkware row configured to hold drinkware along a length of the rack, a sprayer configured to provide at least one stream of liquid into the drinkware, and a paddle wheel assembly arranged between the drinkware row and the sprayer and including at least one paddle configured to rotate responsive to force of the at least one stream of liquid against the at least one paddle, such that during rotation the at least one paddle is configured to variably deflect at least a portion of the stream onto a plurality of portions of an interior surface of the drinkware.
