This invention relates to a washable multi-component floor mat. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by at least one surface attraction means and at least one edge attachment means. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation.

An improved floor mat apparatus is a low profile, rectangular, shoe cleaning apparatus that has an inner volume with two spaced apart rollers mounted within the inner volume that an elongated mat with the ends joined together forming a continuous loop, travels around. A motor turns a first roller and the second roller adjusts to remove slack to tighten the mat. The top surface of the housing is open to expose the mat for cleaning shoes upon. When the mat becomes dirty, the rollers turn via a button located on a panel situated adjacent to one end of the mat and a removable collection chamber at one end of the mat collects debris and helps remove dirt from the mat via a vibrator and brush.

The absorbent component is designed to be soiled and recycled or otherwise discarded and replaced.

A two part floor covering useful for entranceway is provided having a mat overlaying a base. A fastening system incorporating a mushroom-type fastener is provided, whereby the mat can be laid on the base and positioned as desired, without the fastening system engaging. When the mat is aligned with the base, downward pressure on the mat engages the fastening system and restricts the mat from slipping laterally or lifting vertically. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

An illuminated weather resistant rug for ground or floor covering for decorative or practical purposes suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The rug is illuminated by LED lights that are strung within a waterproof casing and attached to the rug within the hem or interwoven as the weft or warp of the rug. Power for the LEDS is supplied by solar, solar with battery, battery, AC plug, DC plug, 12-volt, or USB. Power source can be a direct or detachable connection to the rug. Power to the LEDS can be modulated by manual switch, automated switch, timer, photovoltaic switch or electrical controller for intensity, sequencing, coloring or pattern of illumination. Primary rug material includes any material that is weather resistant and durable enough for foot traffic or static loads such as patio furniture.

A mat unit includes a plurality of gaps defined by a first layer that are in open communication with gaps defined by a second layer so as to permit debris to fall entirely through both gaps to pass completely through the mat unit. The mat unit is part of an omnidirectional mat cleaning system that includes a first direction of travel above the mat unit extending through a door opening defined by a building structure. A different second direction of travel is above the mat unit extending through the door opening or another door opening defined by the building structure. The present invention relates to a package securing doormat frame having a concealed security tarp. The package securing doormat frame comprises a frame for receiving at least one mat. The frame has a recessed chamber along at least a portion of the perimeter of the frame. A securing rail is operationally related to the frame and repositionable. A security tarp has at least a portion secured to the frame and at least a portion secured by the securing rail. The security tarp is stored in the recessed chamber. When a package is placed on the mat it is secured by repositioning the securing rail which extends the security tarp over the package. The package securing doormat frame can be a web-enabled, Internet of things device.

An entrance floor system is provided. The entrance floor system includes a base mat and a plate. The base mat has opposing bottom and top surfaces. The bottom surface of the base mat is configured to rest on a floor surface. The plate has opposing bottom and top surfaces. The bottom surface of the plate is configured to rest on the top surface of the base mat. The top surface of the plate has a border region and a non-border region. The non-border region is substantially parallel with the bottom surface of the plate and the non-border region has a pattern machined therein. The pattern includes a plurality of slots. At least one slot is configured to receive fluid and debris. The top surface of the plate in the border region includes a transition from the floor surface to the non-border region of the top surface of the plate.
