A medical device is provided comprising a first port; a second port in fluid communication with the first port; and a third port in selective fluid communication with both the first port and the second port; a sealing membrane disposed between the third port and both the first port and the second port, the sealing membrane is configured to move between a first position preventing fluid communication between the third port and both the first port and the second port and a second position allowing fluid communication between the third port and the first port, wherein movement of a fluid supplied to the medical device at the third port moves the sealing membrane from the first position to the second position.

BENDING OPERATION DEVICE AND ENDOSCOPE

A bending operation device includes a bending lever that is tiltably supported with an angle to a longitudinal direction of an operation section of an endoscope, a wire pulling member that includes a plurality of arm portions that are displaced according to tilting motion of the bending lever, a plurality of operation wires that are connected to the plurality of arm portions and that bend a bending portion provided in an insertion section of the endoscope according to displacement of the wire pulling member, and a plurality of pulleys that guide the plurality of operation wires to the plurality of arm portions, with the plurality of operation wires being substantially parallel to one another, when the bending lever is in a neutral position at which the bending portion is substantially straight.

Compact Multi-Viewing Element Endoscope System

The present specification is directed towards endoscopes, such as colonoscopes, that provide a broader field of view and allow extended access of surgical tools and also enable efficient packing of all necessary elements in the tip section, while maintaining their functionality. Also described are methods and systems for capturing and displaying still and video images using an endoscope corresponding to a left-side looking, a front-looking and a right-side looking viewing element of an endoscopic tip generated in a native aspect ratio.

MEDICAL CLEANING VALVE

A valve may have a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The valve may include a valve stem having a lumen extending from a first opening at a proximal portion of the valve stem to a second opening at a distal end of the valve stem. A plurality of seals may be positioned relative to the valve stem. The valve stem and seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet is prevented from flowing to the outlet in a first position of the valve stem and relative to the inlet and the outlet. The valve stem and the seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet flows to the outlet in a second position of the valve stem relative to the inlet and the outlet, the second position being more distal than the first position relative to the inlet and the outlet.

LINEAR MEMBER DELIVERY DEVICE FOR ENDOSCOPE

A linear member delivery device for the endoscope includes: a nozzle including an inlet, an outlet, and an insertion path; a fitting portion fitted to an endoscope; a holding portion configured to hold a linear member; and a switching portion configured to connect the fitting portion and the nozzle such that a crossing angle of an opening of the endoscope and a center axis of the nozzle can be switched to a plurality of angles in a state that the fitting portion is fitted to the endoscope.

Endoscope valve and endoscope

An endoscope valve includes: a piston portion; and an attachment member including a surface forming a hollow space extending in a central axis direction. The piston portion includes: protrusions protruding in a direction perpendicular to the central axis and abutting a surface forming the hollow space of the attachment member; and a seal portion formed in a hollow disk shape with the central axis of the piston portion as a symmetry axis and configured to seal a portion between the attachment member and the seal portion. In the protrusions, when a length of the protrusion in a protrusion direction is indicated by d.sub.A, a length of the protrusion in the central axis direction is indicated by d.sub.B, and a shrinkage amount of the protrusion when the protrusion comes into pressure-contact with a pressure-contact object is indicated by d.sub.C, relationships of d.sub.B≤d.sub.A and d.sub.C<d.sub.A are satisfied.

ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM, CONTROL APPARATUS, AND GAS FEEDING CONTROL METHOD
20220031153 · 2022-02-03 · ·

An endoscope system includes a gas feeding apparatus that feeds carbon dioxide, and a light source apparatus provided with an air pump for supplying air. The endoscope system feeds the carbon dioxide or the air from a distal end of an endoscope when a gas/liquid feeding button provided to the endoscope is operated. The endoscope system includes a pressure meter and a processor. The pressure meter is provided inside the gas feeding apparatus and configured to detect a pressure of the carbon dioxide. The processor is configured to perform control for stopping feeding of the air by the air pump when determining that, after the carbon dioxide is fed by an operation of the gas/liquid feeding button, the pressure of the carbon dioxide detected by the pressure meter reaches a predetermined threshold.

SHEATH FOR AN IMAGING DEVICE

A sheath for an imaging device may include a shaft including a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end; a holder coupled to the proximal end of the shaft; a retainer positioned in the lumen of the shaft, wherein the retainer includes an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration; and a light positioned on the distal end of the shaft.
