Sheath for an endoscope
A sheath includes a sheath body, an inflow port at a proximal end of the sheath body, an outflow port at the proximal end of the sheath body, and a plurality of radially expandable flexible members which extend along a length of the sheath body. The plurality of radially expandable flexible members are attached to the sheath body at a plurality of anchor points along the length of the sheath body. The plurality of radially expandable flexible members expand during active fluid inflow. The radially expandable flexible members are spaced apart along the sheath body to define one or more isolated spaces that extend between adjacent radially expandable flexible members when the radially expandable flexible members are inflated within a body passage.
Devices and methods for delivery of medical tools
An endoscopic cap assembly may include a sleeve and a cap. The cap may include a cap channel extending along an external surface of the cap. The cap may also include an engagement feature extending radially outwardly from the external surface of the cap.
ENDOSCOPE DEVICE
An endoscope device includes a hollow tube, a thermal-conductive member, an image-capturing module, and a heat-dissipation tube. The hollow tube includes an insertion end. The thermal-conductive member is in the hollow tube and adjacent to the insertion end. The thermal-conductive member includes a first end, a second end, and a receiving groove. The first end is near to the insertion end as compared with the second end, and the receiving groove is between the first end and the second end. The image-capturing module includes a camera module and a circuit board in the receiving groove. The camera module is at the insertion end and electrically connected to the circuit board. The first end contacts the camera module. The heat-dissipation tube is in the hollow tube. One end of the heat-dissipation tube contacts the thermal conductive member, and the other end of the heat-dissipation tube extends away from the insertion end.
CORRUGATED MEDICAL DEVICES
A medical device, comprising a shaft, wherein the shaft has a corrugated body, and wherein the corrugated body includes a plurality of hoops extending around a circumference of the shaft, a plurality of indentations, wherein the plurality of indentations extend around a portion of the circumference of the shaft and define a reduced-diameter portion of the shaft relative to a diameter of the plurality of hoops, and wherein each of the plurality of hoops is spaced apart from an adjacent hoop of the plurality of hoops by at least one of the plurality of indentations, and a plurality of nodes, wherein each node extends between and connects adjacent hoops of the plurality of hoops, and wherein each of the plurality of nodes is radially offset relative to adjacent nodes along a longitudinal axis of the shaft.
ENDOSCOPE WITH QUICK-CHANGE TUBES
An endoscope for the minimal invasive examination or surgical treatment of a patient has a flexible tubular shaft for insertion into the patient, a grip attached to a proximal end of the shaft for holding the endoscope, and at least one hollow tube. The shaft has at least one groove extending axially along an outer face of the shaft and in which the tube is removably housed. The tube has at least one working channel for guiding a surgical instrument, and/or carrying water or air to or providing suction at the shaft distal end. The shaft groove and the tube are dimensioned relative one another such that at least one free section of the tube is afforded play in the groove. In the straight extended state of the shaft, the at least one free section has an exterior cross-section which is slightly smaller than an interior cross-section of the groove.
ENDOSCOPE ATTACHMENT MECHANISMS AND METHODS OF USE
Some implementations of the disclosure relate to an adapter, comprising: a channel running through the length of the adapter from a first opening to a second opening of the adapter, wherein a shaft of an endoscope is configured to be threaded through the channel; a first coupler configured to removably secure the adapter to a second coupler of the endoscope, the first coupler comprising the second opening; and a rigid attachment segment comprising a surface configured to removably couple the adapter to an instrument or second adapter. The surface of the rigid attachment segment may include multiple grooves and sections alternating along the longitudinal length of the rigid attachment segment, each section protruding relative to the grooves and comprising a recessed indentation or protrusion; and the multiple sections and grooves configured such that the instrument or second adapter can be coupled to the adapter in multiple lengthwise positions.
RETROGRADE ENDOSCOPE AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING INTRANASAL ENDOSCOPY
An assembly for performing intranasal endoscopy on a patient includes a mouth gag defining a central cavity, where the mouth gag is configured to be at least partly received in an oral cavity of the patient, and an outer cannula defining a central lumen, where the outer cannula is configured to be introduced through the central cavity of the mouth gag. The assembly also includes an endoscope extending through the central lumen of the outer cannula and configured to be advanced into a nasal cavity of the patient.
Device with a working channel guiding element
The device comprises an endoscope shaft through which extends a working channel ending at an outlet side of the shaft. A guiding element extends through the working channel, said guiding element being preferably guided in longitudinal direction in and along the working channel. The device is set up in such a manner that the distal end section of an instrument extending in longitudinal direction next to the shaft can be moved alongside the shaft beyond the outlet side in order to move the working section of the instrument away from the outlet side so as to lengthen the distal end section of the device. The instrument is coupled to the guiding element in order to guide the working section of the instrument in a transverse direction away from the outlet side in a region opposite the outlet side in order to work in the region with the instrument.
