The bonding inspection apparatus includes: a bonded-state measuring device for detecting a vibration in the jig or a housing of the ultrasonic bonding machine equipped with the jig, to thereby output a detection signal; and a bonded-state determination device for determining, in a bonding process for the bonding target member and the bonding member, a bonded state between the bonding target member and the bonding member on the basis of the detection signal outputted by the bonded-state measuring device.
Location-based scanner repositioning using non-destructive inspection
Embodiments described herein utilize Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) scan data obtained during a process performed on a surface of a structure to update a location of an NDI scanner on the surface. A subsurface feature within the structure is detected based on the NDI scan data, which are correlated with pre-defined position data for the subsurface feature. A measured location of the NDI scanner on the surface is corrected based on the pre-defined position data for the subsurface feature.
NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF A MECHANICAL PART MADE OF A POLYCRYSTALLINE MATERIAL
A device, for non-destructive testing of a mechanical part made of a polycrystalline material, includes: an ultrasonic probe including a two-dimensional array of transducers capable of emitting and receiving signals at different excitation angles; and a processing module suitable for controlling the emission and the reception of the transducers, for processing the signals received by the transducers so as to express the signals received by the ultrasonic probe in two planar wave planes constructed from the emission and reception wave vectors of the probe, and for deducing therefrom information representative of the three-dimensional orientation of the fiber structure of the mechanical part.
LASER-BASED WELD INSPECTION METHOD AND SYSTEM
Methods and systems for inspecting a weld area between a first and a second metallic sheet are provided an acoustic wave is generated in the first metallic sheet for propagation towards the second metallic sheet, across the weld area. A weld quality indicator is obtained. In some variants, the weld quality indicator is obtained from a comparison of first and second sheet time-varying signals representative of a surface motion in the first and second metallic sheets. In some variants, the weld quality indicator is based on the frequency-dependent attenuation of the acoustic wave in the second metallic sheet.
METHOD FOR DETECTING MICROSTRUCTURE OF FUNCTIONALLY GRADED MATERIAL BASED ON DIGITAL ACOUSTO-OPTIC HOLOGRAPHY
The present invention discloses a method for detecting a microstructure of a functionally graded material based on digital acousto-optic holography, including the following steps: excite a sample with an ultrasonic wave; record a light wave; form a single tomographic acousto-optic hologram; perform numerical reconstruction of phase information, and perform global detection. The present invention uses an acoustic-optic modulation device to modulate a laser light source of a laser of a laser device to form two light waves of different frequencies. The two light waves each constitute a Mach-Zehnder interference system to record reflection wave information and transmission wave information of an ultrasound, and are finally combined and recorded in the same hologram to form the single tomographic acousto-optic hologram. A reflection-transmission dual-mode interference optical path is beneficial to avoiding the mutual interference of the reflection wave information and the transmission wave information, and being able to improve the integrity of information record and information redundancy by using time delay integration with point sensing and surface output to scan CCD through an image collector and cooperate with a synchronous control system to perform surface scanning and record for information of an ultrasound carrier.
Defect detection using ultrasound scan data
A defect detection method and apparatus detecting a defect in an object. The method comprises: obtaining ultrasound scan data derived from an ultrasound scan of the object under consideration, the ultrasound scan data being in the form of a set of echo amplitude values representing the amplitude of echoes received from the object during ultrasound scanning at certain spatial and temporal points; processing the ultrasound scan data to remove echo amplitude values received after a predetermined threshold time; generating at least one image from the processed ultrasound scan data; subjecting each generated image to an automated defect recognition process to determine whether there is a defect in the portion of the object represented by the image; issuing a notification indicating whether or not a defect has been found; and, if a defect has been found, storing the result of the automated defect recognition process in a defect database.
STRUCTURE INSPECTION METHOD AND STRUCTURE INSPECTION SYSTEM
Provided are a structure inspection method and a structure inspection system capable of easily detecting an abnormal location and inspecting an internal state of the abnormal location in detail. The structure inspection method includes: a step of capturing a thermal image of a surface of a structure with an infrared camera; a step of detecting a first region estimated to have an internal abnormality, on the basis of the thermal image; and a step of measuring an internal state of the first region in a case where the first region is detected. In the step of measuring the internal state of the first region, the internal state of the first region is measured by capturing an image that visualizes the internal state of the first region using an electromagnetic wave or an ultrasonic wave.
