LARYNGOSCOPE BLADE WITH GLARE-REDUCING FEATURES
A laryngoscope system includes a light source configured to emit light, a camera configured to obtain image data, and a blade having a channel sized to fit over the light source and the camera. The channel includes a closed end surface, a lateral surface, and a texture or a coating applied to the lateral surface.
Endoscopic imaging apparatus, endoscopic imaging system and method of using the same
The present invention discloses an endoscopic imaging apparatus, an endoscopic imaging system and a method of using the same. The endoscopic imaging apparatus includes a diagnostic imaging means, an external control device and an ingestible capsule endoscopy. The external control device positions and/or orientates the capsule endoscopy in a target area. The diagnostic imaging means is included in the capsule endoscopy for diagnostic imaging of a target area under the control of the external control device.
Endoscope and treatment instrument with lubricant electrodeposition
An endoscope or treatment instrument including: an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a subject; an electrodeposition portion configured to electrodeposit a lubricant applied to an outer surface, the outer surface including: a conductive portion provided on the insertion portion and made of a conductive material; and an insulating portion covering an outer surface of the conductive portion, exposed to a surface of the insertion portion, and made of an electrically insulating material; a connection portion connected to the conductive portion of the electrodeposition portion to take an electric charge; and a static electricity generation apparatus connected to the connection portion and configured to electrodeposit the conductive portion of the electrodeposition portion in a state that the insulating portion electrically insulates the conductive portion and an outside of the endoscope or treatment instrument.
COVERING FOR A MEDICAL SCOPING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a cover having a plurality of moveable, external, angled projecting elements for use with flexible medical scoping devices such as endoscopes or enteroscopes. The invention includes the cover with an over cuff and use of the disposable removable covering in methods of medical scoping procedures or examinations. The invention also includes an applicator for assisting in placing the covering about or over a medical device and a kit of parts.
TIP PART FOR A VIDEOSCOPE AND A VIDEOSCOPE INCLUDING SAID TIP PART
A videoscope and an articulated tip part for the videoscope. The tip part has a bending section with hingedly connected segments. At least one segment includes a surface having an area profile with a two-dimensional, arithmetical mean height parameter, S.sub.a, of at least 0.9 microns as measured by the standard ISO 25178.
Surgical apparatus for endoscope and exterior tube
Provided are a surgical apparatus for an endoscope and an exterior tube that can supply a pneumoperitoneum gas into a body cavity without causing degradation of operability. An exterior tube is sheathed to an outer tube insertion part of an outer tube that is inserted into a body cavity through a body wall and guides an endoscope and a treatment tool into the body cavity, and an outer peripheral surface of the exterior tube is provided with a locking part that restricts the forward and backward movement of the exterior tube with respect to the body wall and the rotation of the exterior tube around an axis. A gap between an inner peripheral surface of the exterior tube and an outer peripheral surface of the outer tube insertion part is used as an air supply passage for supplying the pneumoperitoneum gas within the body cavity.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR VISUALIZATION AND ACCESS
Methods and devices for visualizing and accessing a region inside a body are described. One embodiment of a device includes a working catheter which slides along an open track in a visualization catheter. The visualization catheter is inserted into the body to locate a region of the body with the aid of the visualization element. The working catheter then slides along the track to reach the region, and a working element is inserted through the working catheter to access the region, again with the aid of the visualization element. The methods and devices may also be used to access a variety of internal cavities, soft tissues and organs, and the mediastinal space.
Endoscope
An endoscope includes an insertion portion in which a rigid distal end portion, a bending portion, and a flexible portion are provided in a connected row arrangement, and an optical fiber that is inserted through the insertion portion. The endoscope has, in the rigid distal end portion, an optical transmission module in which an image pickup device, an optical device in which a light-emitting portion is formed, and a holding member that has a through hole. A length in the bending portion of the optical fiber whose distal end portion is inserted into and fixed in the through hole of the holding member is longer than a length L0 of the bending portion.
VIDEO LARYNGOSCOPE AND VIDEO LARYNGOSCOPE INSERTION SECTION
A video laryngoscope and elongate laryngoscope insertion section for a video laryngoscope, comprising a viewing port through which an imaging device within the insertion section can obtain images of a larynx, the insertion section extending between a distal end for insertion into a subject and an opposite proximal end, and having an inferior surface and an opposed superior surface, wherein the insertion section comprises a proximal region where the insertion section extends through a subject's teeth in use, a distal region extending to the distal end and an intermediate region therebetween, wherein the inferior surface of the insertion section comprises or consists of a curved region which extends from the proximal region through the intermediate region to the distal region, wherein the curved region of the inferior surface is continuously longitudinally curved along the length of the longitudinally curved region and wherein the longitudinal curvature of the curved region of the inferior surface varies in the intermediate region. Markings on an elongate laryngoscope insertion can be used to monitor depth of insertion and to indicate a path by which an endotracheal tube should be inserted.
