Endoscope defogging

An endoscope includes a light source coupled to emit light, and a lens disposed proximate to a distal tip of the endoscope tube and structured to absorb at least some of the light. A controller is coupled to the light source, and the controller includes logic that when executed by the controller causes the endoscope to perform operations, including adjusting an emission profile of the light source to heat the lens with the light, and heating the lens mitigates formation of fog on the lens.

Plug for endoscope attachment tip

Reversibly attachable pressure-resistant cap for an endoscope sleeve, configured to seal a distal tip of the endoscope sleeve during pressurized inflation of the sleeve to assist insertion of the endoscope into the sleeve. The cap is operable to latch onto the distal tip. The cap is also configured to be easily removed from the distal tip after inflation is no longer needed.

A medical device may comprise a handle portion; an insertion portion having a proximal end portion at the handle portion, wherein the insertion portion includes a lumen therein and a distal end having a distal opening in communication with the lumen; and a member disposed within the lumen, the member having a distal end portion with an imaging device. The member may be configured to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the imaging device may face distally, and, in the second configuration, the imaging device may face proximally. Extending the distal end portion of the member distally past the distal opening may cause the member to transition from the first configuration to the second configuration.
