Raman based detection instrument and method of detection
A Raman spectroscopy based system and method for examination and interrogation provides a method for rapid and cost effective screening of various protein-based compounds such as bacteria, virus, drugs, and tissue abnormalities. A hand-held spectroscope includes a laser and optical train for generating a Raman-shifting sample signal, signal processing and identification algorithms for signal conditioning and target detection with combinations of ultra-high resolution micro-filters and an imaging detector array to provide specific analysis of target spectral peaks within discrete spectral bands associated with a target pathogen.
NEUTRALIZING ANTI-INFLUENZA B ANTIBODIES AND USES THEREOF
The invention relates to antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof that are capable of binding to influenza B virus hemagglutinin (HA) and neutralizing influenza B virus in two phylogenetically distinct lineages. In one embodiment, the antibody or antigen binding fragment is capable of binding to influenza B virus hemagglutinin and neutralizing influenza B virus in Yamagata and Victoria lineages.
Influenza potency assays
The present application discloses stability-indicating potency assays for influenza vaccines.
Epitope-Based Approach for Allergy Treatments and Inhibitors for Crohn's Disease
The present disclosure relates to pharmaceutical compounds and compositions and methods for treating an allergy and Crohn's disease. Methods for treating an allergy can include (a) predicting potential epitopes based proteomes of microbiome and that of an allergen, (b) filtering the potential epitopes obtained in step a) to result in a list of epitopes; and (c) reengineering the list of epitopes obtained in step b) to result in the new epitope. Methods for treating Crohn's disease can include (a), identifying one or more binding regions of an HLA class II protein and/or hemagglutinin to I2 superantigen; (b) determining a first peptide sequence corresponding to the one or more binding regions, and (c) producing a peptide inhibitor having a second peptide sequence that is a mutation of the first peptide sequence, wherein the second peptide sequence has a stronger binding affinity to the I2 superantigen than the first peptide sequence.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ANALYTE TESTING AND LABORATORY OVERSIGHT
In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising analyte testing on one or more types of samples.
Methods and kits for the diagnosis of influenza
Some embodiments provided herein relate to combined assays. In some embodiments, an assay for identifying influenza type A or influenza type B is combined with an assay for determining the sensitivity of an influenza neuraminidase to an antiviral drug.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR POINT-OF-CARE DIAGNOSTICS
A system comprised of an apparatus and a test device is described. The test device and the apparatus are designed to interact to determine the presence or absence of an analyte of interest in a sample placed on the test device.
DRUG-RESISTANT INFLUENZA VIRUS STRAINS
This disclosure provides immunogenic compositions and methods of producing immunogenic compositions sufficient to produce an antigen-specific immune response against variant influenza virus strains. Also provided herein are methods of identifying drug-resistant influenza virus strains.
REAL-TIME DETECTION OF INFLUENZA VIRUS
The present invention provides system and methods for detecting an analyte indicative of an influenza viral infection in a sample of bodily fluid. The present invention also provides for systems and method for detection a plurality of analytes, at least two of which are indicative of an influenza viral infection in a sample of bodily fluid.
IMMUNOCHROMATOGRAPHIC ASSAY METHOD, AND TEST STRIP USED IN SAID IMMUNOCHROMATOGRAPHIC ASSAY METHOD
The invention aims to suppress non-specific reaction effectively in an immunochromatographic assay method for an analyte. The object can be achieved by an immunochromatographic assay method for an analyte, the method including using a test strip including the following (1) to (3): (1) a sample pad containing a sample application region for applying a biological sample that may contain the analyte; (2) an insoluble membrane containing at least one detection region to which a binding partner immunologically reactive with the analyte is immobilized, wherein the binding partner is immobilized to a label; and (3) a conjugate containing a binding partner immunologically reactive with the analyte, wherein the binding partner is immobilized to a label.
