Gold@zinc salen-based metal organic framework composite and methods of use thereof
A metal organic framework composite is provided. The composite includes a plurality of zinc ions, each coordinated with a salen ligand to form a salen complex metal-organic framework; and gold nanoparticles dispersed on a surface and pores of the salen complex metal-organic framework. Antibodies may be immobilized on a surface of the gold nanoparticles to be used in highly sensitive diagnostic methods for detecting and quantifying protein biomarkers such as human chorionic gonadotropin hormone.
Diagnostic Devices And Methods
Apparatus is disclosed for identifying at least a first target condition in a human or animal body. The apparatus comprises one or more test portions for identifying a first analyte in a biological sample from the body, the first analyte providing a marker of the first target condition, and a second analyte in the biological sample, the second analyte being different from the first analyte. The apparatus is configured to identify the first target condition in the body based on the identification of both the first and second analytes. In one embodiment, the first target condition is pregnancy, the first analyte is human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and the second analyte is luteinizing hormone (LH).
COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHODS OF ESTIMATING A PROBABILITY OF LIVE BIRTH IN AN INFERTILITY SUBJECT, COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA, AND DIAGNOSTICS
A method of estimating a probability of live birth in an infertility subject includes: receiving a parameter set including an anti-Mllerian hormone (AMH) value and a follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) value, the AMH and FSH values generated using one or more samples from the infertility subject; adding a constant to the AMH value and the FSH value to generate an increased AMH value and an increased FSH value; transforming the increased AMH value and the increased FSH value to produce an augmented parameter set including a logarithmic AMH value and a logarithmic FSH value; and solving a generalized additive mixed model for a probability of live birth in the infertility subject based the augmented parameter set, wherein the generalized additive mixed model was previously backfit with a data set of subject data including the augmented parameter set for each infertility subject in the data set.
Immunochromatographic test piece
An immunochromatographic test piece is provided containing a control line detection reagent that is not affected by the concentration of an analyte to be detected. The immunochromatographic test piece is for quantifying an analyte in a biological sample, and includes (a) a conjugation pad impregnated with a detection reagent that specifically binds to the analyte, and a control line detection reagent; and (b) a porous membrane pad on which an antibody for capturing the analyte is immobilized upstream, and an antibody for capturing specifically the control line detection reagent is immobilized downstream.
Molecular nets and devices for capturing analytes including exosomes
Disclosed is a covalently-linked multilayered three-dimensional matrix comprising capture molecules, linkers and spacers (referred to as a Molecular Net) for specific and sensitive analyte capture from a sample. Also disclosed herein is a Molecular Net comprising covalently-linked multilayered three-dimensional matrix comprising more than one type of capture molecule and more than one type of linker and may comprise one or more spacer for specific and sensitive capture of more than one type of analyte from a sample. A Molecular Net may comprise a pseudorandom nature. Use of various capture molecules, linkers and spacers in a Molecular Net may confer unique binding properties to a Molecular Net. Porosity, binding affinity, size exclusion abilities, filtration abilities, concentration abilities and signal amplification abilities of a Molecular Net may be varied and depend on the nature of components used in its fabrication. Uses of a Molecular Net may include analyte capture, analyte enrichment, analyte purification, analyte detection, analyte measurement and analyte delivery. Molecular Nets may be used in liquid phase or on solid phases such as nanomaterials, modified metal surfaces, nanospheres, microspheres, microtiter plates, slides, pipettes, cassettes, cartridges, discs, probes, lateral flow devices, microfluidics devices, microfluidics devices, optical fibers and others.
MULTIVALENT MONO- OR BISPECIFIC RECOMBINANT ANTIBODIES FOR ANALYTIC PURPOSE
The present disclosure relates to novel analyte-specific multivalent recombinant antibodies that are particularly useful in immunoassays. Specifically, hexavalent, octavalent and decavalent antibodies are disclosed, including their construction, production, characterization and use in target antigen detection assays.

TWO PART ASSEMBLY
A device that includes a first portion, the first portion including at least one fluid channel; a fluid actuator; and an introducer, a second portion, the second portion including at least one well, the well containing at least one material, wherein one of the first or second portion is moveable with respect to the other, wherein the introducer is configured to obtain at least a portion of the material from the at least one well and deliver it to the fluid channel, and wherein the fluid actuator is configured to move at least a portion of the material in the fluid channel.
Molecular imprinted colored silica beads
Macromolecular imprinted silica particles (MIP) in the presence of polymer grafted carbon black are disclosed. The disclosed molecular imprinted beads can detect disease in body fluids. For the silica gel matrix, tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) was used as the backbone monomer and 3-aminopropy/triethoxysilane (APS) as a functional monomer. Carbon black was added to the sol-gel process, yielding black silica particles. Furthermore, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) was used as a structure-directing agent to increase network diffusion of the template. A total of 16 MIPs were synthetized in parallel with variables that evaluate the role of key reactants in the synthesis procedure. Agglomeration tests were performed with all 16 MIPs in the presence of their template, alongside their respective controls using only phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Each of the MIPs was evaluated using a novel device capable of simultaneously measuring up to four samples for near infrared transmission.
BREAST CANCER DETECTION KIT USING SALIVA AND BREAST CANCER DETECTION METHOD USING SAME, AND FERTILE WINDOW DETECTION KIT USING SALIVA AND FERTILE WINDOW DETECTION METHOD USING SAME
A breast cancer detection kit using saliva and a breast cancer detection method using the kit, which are presented in the present invention, can detect breast cancer more accurately than a conventional breast cancer detection technique. In addition, a fertile window detection kit using saliva and a fertile window detection method using the kit, which are presented in the present invention, can resolve inconveniences of limitations on time and place in a conventional technology for confirming whether there is a fertile window through urine, and can solve problems, of a conventional technique for determining the structure of saliva through observation, in which saliva takes a certain amount of time to dry and the observation, itself, of spit can arouse visual discomfort, in order to confirm the salt crystals of saliva or the structural shape of saliva.
