The engagement pin is guided into the long hole and the bending operation mechanism is supported such that the bending operation mechanism is movable relative to the operation portion.
CAMERA POSITIONING SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR CAPTURING IMAGES DURING A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
A visualization device for a robotic surgery apparatus includes a housing configured to be removably attached to a mounting interface of the apparatus and be positioned adjacent an insertion device of the apparatus. The housing includes first and second openings positioned on an exterior of the housing. The housing includes a substantially flexible camera tube with a first end attached to the housing and a second end including at least one camera. The second end is inserted through the first opening in the housing, pass through interior of the housing, and exit the housing through the second opening in the housing. The second end extends away from the housing toward a region of interest outside the housing or retract away from the region of interest and back toward the housing. The camera tube forms a loop around a portion of the housing.
Endoscope device and endoscope system with deforming insertion portion wire
An endoscope device is provided with: an elongated sheath having an endoscope insertion passage that penetrates therethrough in the longitudinal direction and into which an endoscope is inserted; and a wire that is provided in the sheath and that has a bending portion that bends toward the endoscope insertion passage, wherein the wire has a deforming region that is provided in a distal end portion of the sheath and that deforms between a normal form, in which the deforming region is disposed in the interior of the sheath or along an outer circumferential surface thereof, and a loop-shaped expanded form, in which the bending portion is bended and has a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the sheath.
Endoscope with Bendable Camera Shaft
An endoscope with a handle and an insertion shaft. The insertion shaft has solid state illumination and imaging circuitry at or near a tip designed to provide illumination and imaging of a body cavity for a surgeon during surgery. At least a portion of the insertion shaft is flexible or articulated. Controls on the handle permit control of flex or articulation of the insertion shaft to permit direction of illumination and field of view of the imaging circuitry. Control force transfer elements permit a surgeon to direct a direction of the imaging circuitry by transfer of mechanical force directed by a surgeon to the bendable distal portion to cause the bendable portion to bend under the surgeon's control.
Endoscope with improved clamping connection for easy dismantling
The invention relates to an endoscope with a shaft, in which at least one working channel is arranged, and with an endoscope head arranged at the distal end of the shaft, wherein a deflection lever is arranged in the endoscope head and is adjustable between a non-deflected starting position and a deflected working position relative to the shaft, and wherein the deflection lever is adjustable via a Bowden wire, the proximal end of which is mounted via a collet on a control handle arranged at the proximal end of the shaft, wherein the collet fixing the proximal end of the Bowden wire is arranged on a slide that is movable proximally out of a housing of the control handle, which slide is coupled to the control handle via a rod. In order to create an endoscope which, having a simple structure, can be easily dismantled, in particular for cleaning purposes, and reassembled, the invention proposes that the slide can be coupled to the rod via a clamping connection.
ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT
An endoscopic instrument (1, 134), for inserting into a body of a patient, includes a tubular shank (3, 47, 137) and at least two electrical, mechanical and/or optical leads (11, 13, 15, 19, 57, 59, 65, 67, 123, 181) which run through the shank (3, 47, 137). The shank (3, 47, 137) in a bendable shank section (9, 49) includes a plurality of slots (33, 55, 64). The slots (33, 55, 64) extend in a circumferential direction only over a part of the shank periphery. The slots (33, 44, 64) are arranged axially to one another such that the slots alternately lie on a first lateral side of the shank (3, 47, 137) and a second lateral side of the shank (3, 47, 137) which lies diametrically opposite the first.
Method for fixation of a wire portion of an endoscope, and an endoscope
An endoscope made by a method for fixation of portions of a steering wire of the endoscope, the steering wire having a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion, the first portion connected to a steerable tip and the second portion connected to a control element, the method including pulling the third portion so as to tension the steering wire and inserting a pin with a wire guide into a pin spacing so that so that the second portion is positioned in the wire guide and is clamped between the pin and at least one wall of the control element, whereby the pin and the second portion are fixated to the control element to thereby maintain a wire tension between the first and second portions.
Device for use in hysteroscopy
A device for visualization of internal tissue of a patient's uterus having a hand-held control unit, an elongated member, and an image capturing tip. To increase the manoeuvrability of the image capturing tip, the elongated member forms a straight portion extending along a straight axis and a curved portion forming a curvature away from the straight axis, the curved portion being between the image capturing tip and the straight portion. By rotation of an inner tube in an outer tube, the image capturing structure will move along a circular path without being rotated about the centre axis of the elongated member.
Deflection mechanism
A steering mechanism may comprise an actuation system for one-fingered operation by a user, the system configured to move at least a distal portion of the medical device such that 360 degree articulation is achievable, and a housing coupled to the system, the housing having proximal and distal ends. The system may comprise a first lever rotatable about a first axis, the first lever coupled to a first cam and configured to move the first cam from a first position to a second position when rotated about the first axis to deflect the distal portion; and a second lever rotatable about a second axis, the second lever coupled to a second cam and configured to move the second cam from a first position to a second position when rotated about the second axis to deflect the distal portion, wherein the first lever is coupled to the second lever.
