DETACHABLE ENDOSCOPE
A detachable endoscope including: an insertion unit whose one end is to be inserted into a body; an operation unit coupled to another end of the insertion unit and operating the one end of the insertion unit to perform a bending motion using an operation module; and a detachment unit which detachably couples the operation unit and the insertion unit, and locks the insertion unit in a coupled state simultaneously when being coupled, so that the insertion unit is secured to the operation unit.
Medical device inspection system
A medical device inspection system may include a base, a medical device holder on the base, a fiber scope holder on the base, a moveable roller moveably attached to the base such that it is free to rotate around an axis and move from a first position to a second position along the base, and a feeder coupled with the base for feeding a flexible portion of the fiber scope into a lumen of the medical device. During use, the flexible portion of the fiber scope may extend from the handle, around the moveable roller, and through the feeder to enter an opening in the lumen of the medical device.
Insertion unit for medical instruments and an intubation system thereof
The present invention discloses an insertion unit, a bending section and an intubation system for use in a body lumen of a patient. The insertion unit comprises an inner elongated shaft structure being capable of torque transmission around its length axis and having spring-like and flexibility properties and an outer elongated shaft structure at least partially surrounding the inner elongated shaft structure and having spring-like properties and a continuous and flat outer surface. The inner elongated shaft structure has a distal end, and is capable of being connected to an optical head. The insertion unit is configured to transmit pushing and rotation forces along a length of the insertion unit. The integral insertion unit is configured and operable to bend the distal tip in all directions and to fully rotate the distal tip.
DETACHABLE ENDOSCOPE FOR THE DUODENUM
A detachable endoscope for a duodenum including an insertion unit whose one end is intended to be inserted into a body, and which is provided with a force applying module pivotably disposed on the one end; an operation unit coupled to another end of the insertion unit, and operating the one end of the insertion unit to perform a bending motion with use of an operation module; and a detachment unit including a first detachment module disposed within the operation unit, and a second detachment module disposed within the insertion unit and detachably coupled to the first detachment module.
Coaxial micro-endoscope
A deflectable endoscope including an imaging structure, an outer member having a proximal portion and a distal portion, an elongated column member extending distally from the outer member and an inner member positioned coaxial with the outer member and attached to the column member. The inner member extends distally of the outer member and has a distal tip portion. A reinforcement member is positioned over the column member to restrict axial movement of the column member such that when one of the inner member or outer member is moved with respect to the other, axial compression of the column member is restricted by the reinforcement member causing the distal tip portion of the inner member to deflect laterally.
ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope includes a pulley provided in an operation portion, having an outer diameter larger than an inner diameter of an endoscope insertion portion, and configured to wind a wire connected to a bending portion; and a wire guard that is arranged to cover a predetermined range of an outer peripheral portion of the pulley, and includes a guide wall arranged to extend within a range of a radius of the pulley from a contact point position at which the wire in contact with the pulley is separated from the pulley in a longitudinal axis direction of the operation portion. The wire guard includes two members each formed in a substantially semicircular plate shape, and coupling parts formed in arc shapes extending from both end portions of the two members and configured to couple the two members.
BENDING SECTION OF ENDOSCOPE, ENDOSCOPE INSERTION SECTION, AND ENDOSCOPE
A bending section of an endoscope includes a first bending piece and a second bending piece in each of which a hole is formed, the first bending piece includes a first groove communicating with the hole and formed toward an outer side of a radial direction, the second bending piece is disposed adjacent to the first bending piece and includes a second groove formed from an outer circumference of the second bending piece toward the hole, and the wire is disposed in the first groove and the second groove.
MEDICAL DEVICE WITH EXTENDABLE SHAFT
A medical device may comprise a handle, a first shaft extending from a distal end of the handle, and a second shaft extending a lumen of the first shaft. The handle may further include a first actuator and a second actuator. The first shaft may include (1) a plurality of lumens extending therethrough, (2) a distal face, and (3) a longitudinal axis. Actuation of the first actuator may articulate a distal portion of the first shaft. The second shaft may be axially movable relative to the first shaft such that the second shaft extends out of a distal opening of the first lumen and distally of the distal face. Actuation of the second actuator may articulate a distal portion of the second shaft.
BENDABLE MEDICAL DEVICE WITH MULTIPLE POSITION SENSORS
Some embodiments of a device comprise a tubular flexible body that includes a channel though a longitudinal axis; a first sensor that is located in a distal end of the tubular flexible body; a second sensor that is located in the distal end of the tubular flexible body; and wiring that connects to the first sensor and the second sensor and that extends to a proximal end of the tubular flexible body, wherein a sensed orientation of the first sensor is oriented opposite to a sensed orientation of the second sensor.
STEERABLE ULTRASOUND ATTACHMENT FOR ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope add-on assembly adapted to be attached to a target endoscope. The assembly includes an ultrasound imaging sub-assembly, including a communications cable connected to an ultrasound imaging head and an imaging head movement sub-assembly, including a conduit, holding a tension member that is attached to the ultrasound imaging head. Further included are connective elements, adapted to permit the endoscope add-on assembly to be attached to the target endoscope. Finally, the imaging head movement sub-assembly is detachable from the ultrasound imaging sub-assembly, thereby permitting the imaging head movement subassembly to be processed separately from the ultrasound imaging sub-assembly, after use.
