SURGICAL DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS USING MULTI-SOURCE IMAGING
In general, devices, systems, and methods for multi-source imaging are provided.
COMPACT MULTI-VIEWING ELEMENT ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
The present specification is directed towards endoscopes, such as colonoscopes, that provide a broader field of view and allow extended access of surgical tools and also enable efficient packing of all necessary elements in the tip section, while maintaining their functionality. Also described are methods and systems for capturing and displaying still and video images using an endoscope corresponding to a left-side looking, a front-looking and a right-side looking viewing element of an endoscopic tip generated in a native aspect ratio.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR SUTURING
A surgical system, method, and apparatus for suturing a first anatomical structure to a second anatomical structure of a subject includes an endoscope tube for being advanced through a lumen of the first anatomical structure to a surgical site near the second anatomical structure. A manipulator arm extends through the endoscope tube to the surgical site, and includes a first concentric tube manipulator with an end effector configured to grasp and manipulate a suture at the surgical site. A needle arm extends through the endoscope tube to the surgical site, and includes a second concentric tube manipulator with a needle tip configured to pierce the tissue of the first and second anatomical structures. The needle arm is also configured to grasp the suture and to retract and pull the suture through the pierced tissue so that the suture extends through and forms stitching that stitches together the first and second anatomical structures.
ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS
Provided is an endoscope apparatus provided with: an elongated insertion portion that is inserted into a body; an image-acquisition portion that has an imaging optical system disposed at a distal end of the insertion portion and that acquires two images having parallax for the same imaging subject; an identifying portion that identifies an image of an object, which is in close proximity to the imaging optical system, that is captured only in one of the two images acquired by the image-acquisition portion; and a close-proximity-image-removal processing portion that processes the image so that the image of the object identified by the identifying portion is removed from the image.
Endoscope and endoscope system
An endoscope having an insertion portion to be inserted into an object to be observed, includes: a substantially tubular holder member mounted to the insertion portion and having an open front end portion including a shoulder surface surrounded by an axial wall; a lens barrel holding an objective lens system and received in the holder member; and a light-transmissive closure member fitted into a front opening defined by the axial wall, and fixed to the front opening by a bonding agent interposed between an outer circumferential surface of the closure member and an opposing inner circumferential surface of the open front end portion of the holder member, wherein a space axially adjoining the shoulder surface is defined between an outer circumferential surface of a front end portion of the lens barrel and an opposing inner circumferential surface of the holder member.
DRIVE DEVICE
A drive device includes a filter section that includes an optical filter, a transmission section that rotates around a rotation shaft, a first groove portion that is formed to the transmission section, a protruding portion that is formed to the filter section, in contact with the first groove portion, and that moves the filter section from a first position to a second position by moving along the first groove portion in coordination with rotation of the transmission section, and a second groove portion that is formed continuously with the first groove portion, and that is provided along a tangent line direction passing through the protruding portion that is on a circle having the rotation shaft of the transmission section at a center and a radius that is a distance between the rotation shaft and the protruding portion, when the optical filter section is moved to the second position.
Endoscope System with Multiple Connection Interfaces to Interface with Different Video Data Signal Sources
Endoscopes having a tip section with viewing elements coupled to a CMOS image sensor and/or a CCD image sensor for transforming light captured by the viewing element into digital and/or analog signals are described. A main connector is coupled with the tip section for transmitting the signals to a main control unit of the endoscope. The main connector includes a pad for transmitting digital signals provided by the CMOS image sensor to a push pin probe in a receptacle of the main control unit. The main connector also include another interface for transmitting analog signals to the main control unit.
REMOVABLE TIP ENDOSCOPE
There is provided herein, an endoscope comprising an elongated shaft terminating with a tip section wherein said tip section comprises a permanent section connected to the elongated shaft and a removable section securely connectable to the permanent section, wherein the removable section comprises at least one capture device and at least one light source.
Rotational device and method for rotating an endoscope
A rotational device for rotating an endoscope having a stationary assembly, a rotatable assembly, which includes a distal coupling means for coupling to an endoscope, a drive means, which is embodied for putting the distal coupling means into rotational motion for rotating an endoscope connected to the distal coupling means, a proximal coupling means at the stationary assembly for coupling to a camera device, and an optical unit for transmitting light from the distal coupling means to the proximal coupling means.
LARYNGOSCOPE AND METHODS OF USE
A laryngoscope includes a handle having an inner cavity configured to accept at least part of a syringe, the handle having (a) a syringe seat disposed at a bottom of the inner cavity, (b) a valve disposed below the inner cavity, and (c) a blade coupled to the handle, wherein the blade includes a housing connected to a camera having a lens.
