Endoscope system and method of operating the same
A plurality of kinds of illumination light are emitted while being switched according to a specific light emission pattern. A plurality of observation images, which are obtained from image pickup of an object to be observed illuminated with each illumination light, are acquired. Control to display the plurality of observation images on a display unit while switching the plurality of observation images according to a specific display pattern is performed. The specific light emission pattern is fixed and the specific display pattern is changeable.
ARTICULATED STRUCTURED LIGHT BASED-LAPAROSCOPE
In a method of using a structured-light based system, real-time 2D images of a portion of a field of view are captured using an endoscope. A portion of an object in the field of view is illuminated with a structured light pattern, and light reflected from the field of view is detected. From the reflected light, a 3D image of the field of view is constructed, and 3D locations of points on a surface of the object are determined. The real time 3D spatial position of the endoscope and/or a surgical tool is determined. If a distance between the surface the endoscope and/or surgical tool, as determined using the 3D spatial position, falls below a predetermined distance, an alert is generated to notify a user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLABLE ACCESS OF TOOLS TO ELEVATED TISSUES
The present subject matter provides a system for allowing controlled access of a tool to all sides of an elevated tissue in body of a patient, the system including: a rail configured to surround the elevated tissue; and at least one vehicle configured to move along the rail and carry at least one tool configured to manipulate the elevated tissue. Also provided is a method for cutting an elevated tissue in a body of a patient, the method including: inserting a rail to a vicinity of the elevated tissue; surrounding the elevated tissue with the rail; placing a vehicle on the rail; connecting a cutting device to the vehicle; and moving the vehicle along the rail while cutting the elevated tissue with the cutting device. Additional embodiments of the system and method are disclosed herein.
Surgical system for detecting gradual changes in perfusion
The present disclosure is directed to an augmented reality surgical system. The system includes an endoscope that captures an image of the region of interest of a patient and an ECG device that records an ECG of the patient. A controller receives the image and applies at least one image processing filter to the image. The image processing filter includes a decomposition filter that decomposes the image into frequency bands. A temporal filter is applied to the frequency bands to generate temporally filtered bands. An adder adds each band frequency band to a corresponding temporally filtered band to generate augmented bands. A reconstruction filter generates an augmented image by collapsing the augmented bands. The controller also receives the ECG and processes the augmented image with the ECG to generate an ECG filtered augmented image. A display displays the ECG filtered augmented image to a user.
ENDOSCOPY SERVICE SUPPORT DEVICE, ENDOSCOPY SERVICE SUPPORT SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF OPERATING ENDOSCOPY SERVICE SUPPORT DEVICE
An image reception unit receives a still image acquired by an endoscope system. The still image combination unit performs still image collation processing for collating an internal still image and an external still image out of the still images, combines the internal still image with the external still image on the basis of at least a result of the still image collation processing, and displays the combined internal still image and external still image on a service support display.
Endoscope
An optical prism is designed to displace a field of view offset angle of an endoscope. A connector is designed to affix the optical prism to a tip of an endoscope that has a field of view at an initial offset angle displaced off-axis. The optical prism and connector are designed to reduce the offset angle of the field of view of the endoscope toward on-axis. Delivery packaging for an endoscope has a vial, well, or cavity designed to retain anti-adhesive lubricant in contact with a lens or window of the endoscope.
Dual view endoscope
An endoscope is provided to examine internal organs with front and rear views. The endoscope comprises a shaft extending from a distal end in a rearward direction along a longitudinal axis towards a proximal end, with the distal and proximal ends defining a hollow channel extended there-through. The endoscope further comprises a first lens positioned adjacent to the distal end and configured to receive a first image in a forward direction along the longitudinal axis, with the forward direction generally 180 degree from the rearward direction. The endoscope further comprises a rearview module positioned adjacent to the distal end. The rearview module comprises a second lens configured to be positioned adjacent to the distal end, and receive a second image in a target direction having a directional component in the rearward direction along the longitudinal axis, independently of the first lens receiving the first image in the forward direction.
ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
An endoscope system that illuminates an object and captures reflected light from the object includes a control processor. The control processor acquires an examination image and determines whether the examination image shows a swallowing state or a non-swallowing state. In addition, the control processor detects a high pixel value region from the examination image and determines that the examination image shows the swallowing state in a case in which an area of the high pixel value region is equal to or greater than a first threshold value. Further, the control processor performs grayscale conversion on the examination image to obtain a grayscale image and performs a binarization process for obtaining the high pixel value region in a case in which a density value of a pixel of the grayscale image is equal to or greater than a second threshold value.
ENDOSCOPIC VISUALIZATION DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHODS
Imaging devices, imaging systems, and methods are presented for determining distances, depths, and sizes of a viewed tissue or object through a visualization device. The device may include an elongated shaft and an imaging component. The imaging component may extend through the elongated shaft. The imaging component may have a lens and may be configured to capture an image of an area exterior of the elongated shaft in a field of view of the lens. A transparent cover may extend over the lens. The transparent cover may be configured to cause one or more identifiers to appear in the image. The imaging device may include or be used with a computing device to analyze image data of captured images.
MEDICAL DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
A single-use medical endoscope with an elongate shaft carrying a distal image sensor, with a flex circuit component having a distal end electrically coupled to the image sensor and a proximal tail end of the flex circuit extending outwardly from the endoscope handle to a flex circuit connector assembly.
