20230165452 · 2023-06-01 ·

A system for monitoring and cleaning a lens of a laparoscope interoperative includes a monitoring system having a laparoscope and software for monitoring clarity of an image provided by the laparoscope. The software being configured to provide a feedback signal when the image clarity falls below a predetermined threshold. The system further includes a cleaning system in operative connection with the monitoring system and configured to activate upon receipt of the feedback signal from the monitoring system. The cleaning system includes a source of pressurized liquid, a source of compressed air, and a source of suction. The sources of pressurized liquid and compressed air are configured to be activated simultaneously with the source of suction.

MEDICAL CLEANING VALVE

A valve may have a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The valve may include a valve stem having a lumen extending from a first opening at a proximal portion of the valve stem to a second opening at a distal end of the valve stem. A plurality of seals may be positioned relative to the valve stem. The valve stem and seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet is prevented from flowing to the outlet in a first position of the valve stem and relative to the inlet and the outlet. The valve stem and the seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet flows to the outlet in a second position of the valve stem relative to the inlet and the outlet, the second position being more distal than the first position relative to the inlet and the outlet.

LINEAR MEMBER DELIVERY DEVICE FOR ENDOSCOPE

A linear member delivery device for the endoscope includes: a nozzle including an inlet, an outlet, and an insertion path; a fitting portion fitted to an endoscope; a holding portion configured to hold a linear member; and a switching portion configured to connect the fitting portion and the nozzle such that a crossing angle of an opening of the endoscope and a center axis of the nozzle can be switched to a plurality of angles in a state that the fitting portion is fitted to the endoscope.

ENDOSCOPE CLEANING DEVICE

A cleaning device enables cleaning of a lens of an endoscope during a surgical procedure to maintain a clear image without having to remove the endoscope from the patient's body. The cleaning device is disposed on an elongate shaft of a surgical instrument such that a lens of an endoscope may be wiped against the cleaning device to remove debris from the lens.

LINEAR MEMBER TRANSFER APPARATUS

A linear member transfer apparatus includes: a linear member housing portion having a bottomed cylindrical shape and including: a bottom portion; an opening; a side wall; a restriction portion that is a diaphragm disposed on a position at a predetermined distance from the bottom portion and that has an inner diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the bottom portion; a first chamber configured to house a linear member in a wound state; and a second chamber configured to house the linear member in an extended state; a transfer portion configured to transfer the linear member; and a guide.

A minimally invasive device that concurrently cleans trocars or cannulas and the lens of the scope and a method of using the same is disclosed. The disclosed device may include a rod having at least one end and at least one sponge attached to at least one end of the rod. There is also disclosed a method of cleaning trocars or cannulas and the lens of a minimally invasive scope concurrently with the device. The method may include the steps of attaching a first sponge to the rod and inserting one end of the device through a trocar such that at least one sponge is in contact with the inner surface of the trocar. The device may be removed from the trocar after sufficient cleaning is performed. If the device is inserted through a different trocar, the sponge end may be used to concurrently clean a scope lens while the scope is within a body cavity.

TWISTED IN WIRE BRUSH HAVING A MOLDED TIP AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY THEREFOR

An endoscope cleansing accessory is described for use at the bedside, manual cleaning sink, or prior to decontamination of the endoscope with an automatic endoscope reprocessing (AER) apparatus. The cleansing accessory includes a cleansing pod or bulbous package filled with a cleaning composition, such as a foam, fluid or powder, and a blocking mechanism located at or near an opening of the cleansing pod. The blocking mechanism is configured to block a suction channel once the cleansing pod is tightly fitted over a distal end of the endoscope. External pressure applied to the outside of the cleansing pod in the form of repeated compression or squeezing drives the cleaning fluid through an elevator platform or forceps raiser bridge mechanism within the endoscope's distal end to loosen tissue and other particles, which can then be flushed out during manual cleaning or by the flowing cleansing fluid of an AER.
